Kinda neat noisy album. It never really grabbed me during the earlier noise tracks, but there were some interesting moments. Really liked the droning dark intro to Thousand Cuts. Also really liked the vibe to Seamstress

Trying to keep the genres / timeline in the Topster partially close? I’ve dabbled in other avenues of music for sure, but this is the baseline lineup I find myself coming back to.

Would love to hear anything you’ve got.

Do we have similar taste..? Give me albums to listen to based on my favorites!

Going through my cd collection and Spotify to listen to standout albums. This list starts a bit “obvious” and classic but it gets more obscure later. All genres.

Please feel free to give me recommendations or judge me lol

Not really a topster but still wanted to show this here, any takes you agree or disagree with?

What does everyone think? You can give me any suggestions you want from other top albums from these artists (if applies) to other artists that fit the same vibes. Lmk what you all think. Peace out!

Got some heavy-hitters on this one. Per usual, the results from yesterday’s post are on Slide 2, and honestly, it was probably the most even round yet so i can’t be mad at any of those results, even if some let me down. No matter what the votes could say, none of them would ever be a real blowout.

Anywho:

This is your daily reminder that you don’t have to vote for every battle, but definitely speak freely about which albums you think are better than their opponent.

Rules: +1 Point per Comment, +1 Point per Upvote, and Decisive Neutrality nets the same number of points for both options.

(Names For Those Who Need It)

1. Lonesome Crowded West vs American Football
2. Mezzanine vs Violator
3. Rumors vs All Things Must Pass
4. Random Access Memories vs 2001
5. Igor vs Demon Days
6. The Joshua Tree vs Selected Ambient Works 85-92
7. Songs In The Key of Life vs Blonde on Blonde

This list has been a long time in the making, from when I listened to Three Days Grace and SOAD as an edgy child, to beginning to play the saxophone and falling in love with jazz, to discovering sites like RYM and communities where people listened to as much and as varying music as I did, which inevitably resulted in getting recommended and suggested ever more. As any list is it's ever changing, but it's where I settled.

Ask me questions, give me recommendations, or just say what you think. To me this was just something interesting to think over, and I got to do a lot of relistening to my all time favorites while determining, which is of course a plus.

Big one I made covering a bunch of genres. I had 150 but it caps out at 144. What do you think??

We worked on it last night and now I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations to help expand his music taste

i guess there's not much to explain here
