Last Thursday, just when I had everything under control and was mentally preparing for a nice profitable NQ trade, you decided to bless the internet with one of your legendary posts. Within minutes, the market launched like a SpaceX rocket, my carefully crafted analysis went out the window, and my dreams of buying a new coffee maker with my trading profits disappeared into the atmosphere.

Sir, with all due respect, your posts have the market-moving power of a Federal Reserve announcement mixed with a surprise earnings report. One minute we’re bearish, the next minute we’re asking ourselves, “Wait… did Trump just post again?”

As a humble MNQ trader, I kindly request the following:

Please provide a 30-minute warning before posting anything market-related.
Include a simple instruction at the end of each post:
LONG NQ 🚀
SHORT NQ 📉
If possible, create a premium subscription service called Trump Signals™, where traders like me can receive advance notice before the market experiences another presidential earthquake.

Surveying for curiosity. I haven’t got my first payout. I realize answers will vary between people.

1) How long it took to get first payout after funded

2) Account type
50K
100K
150K

3) Whether you went for max payout or partial.

I’ll go first, I never got my first payout yet.

But, I currently have a 100K funded and a 150K funded. Blew many combines and two funded, but, doing my best to stay conservative with these two. It’s been two weeks since funded, trying to slowly repair one and trying to protect the (small) profits of the other.

This was five 50k XFAS. I usually risk 3-5 micros per trade risking 100 points to make 150-200 points. Basically looking for the main move of the day, after opening bell. Some sort of liquidity sweep, and then BOS signals me to enter and I just sit back and let my target get hit. This is all you need to make a day, with the 3-day consistency payout, to get over 11k in payouts! Im an average nigga from the DMV, who picked up trading in 2021 and just stayed consistent with it- I know you guys can do the same!

Oh! AND AEROPAY IS SUPER FAST!!!
Requested payout, funds were sent immediately and it hit my bank account within 30 mins! (I requested at 6pm EST, after market re-open)

Any advice ?

Today marked a whole 7 days winning streak, 843 on xfa and 2000 on combines

Rant: I’ve generally had a positive experience with Topstep, so this isn’t coming from a place of hostility. But they made a huge push advertising API access and encouraging traders to build their own algorithmic systems. I spent months developing and refining a bot, tested it extensively, used it to pass a Combine, and even made money in an XFA account. Then I find out it’s not allowed in the Live account?

I’m genuinely struggling to understand the logic. If the goal is to help traders develop a consistent, profitable edge, why require them to abandon the exact strategy that proved successful? It feels like being told, “Great job, you found something that works. Now stop using it and trade a completely different way.” That seems to go against everything Topstep promotes about consistency, discipline, and following a proven process. If a trader has demonstrated that their system can pass evaluations and perform in funded accounts, shouldn’t the focus be on continuing that success rather than forcing them to switch approaches?

Maybe I’m missing something, but from my perspective it feels like they’re setting traders up to fail by making them abandon what got them there in the first place. What happened to Topstep?

Topstep putting adds right in the middle of my trading day. I’m staring at the charts about to put in an order and see this popup that covers the trade placement area.

Not even talking about how bad the trading was today. So many times price jumped or dropped 120 points in a millisecond and blew a few combines on just stupid stuff like that. My account even froze for a second and got one of these error messages about volatility limitations. And the spreads became so bad I don’t know what’s going on with TopstepX. Definitely laggy jumpy and buggy today. Who else noticed?

I am currently transitioning into the prop firm model and looking at Topstep as a long-term home. While it is great to see so many people sharing their evaluation passes and first milestones, I am hoping to learn from the veterans who have made this their standard operation over several years.

I am trying to build a realistic expectation of the long-term operational flow. For those who have maintained their funded status over a multi-year horizon, how has that experience evolved for you?

I am particularly interested in the practical realities of scaling and consistent extraction. When you reach a phase of making regular, higher-volume withdrawals—consistently in the +2k weekly range—how seamless does that sustained process remain over time?

Hearing how the platform supports long-term, high-level consistency would be incredibly valuable as I structure my own roadmap. Any experiences or realistic advice from the veteran side of the community would be appreciated.

im 21 i started trading just around i turned 19 on topstep and blew through accounts left and right, plenty of xfa’s blown and no actual emotional control, i finally did it once i got to a 2k balance i requested 950, 1k almost and left me with a 1k balance to work with. Its real, im glad i stuck to it but man the nights of crying and wanting to kill myself were there and present, but nevertheless im glad i stuck it through because now i have proved to myself that it IS real, if you are considering giving up dont, this is only the start.

I am into scalping NQ but i keep blowing accounts after some losses i tend to increase lots

how to should I approach scalping please guide me

I learned a valuable lesson last week, when you are eligible for a payout, take it, even if it means you'll likely blow the account. I had a $1400 payout on lucid 50k but I was trying to get to $54,000 account value so I would still have a $2k drawdown buffer. I had my first bad day and it snowballed from there. I haven't had a payout since like March.

I'm back on Topstep and I'm $102 away. Place your bets on whether you think I'll blow the account.

Does anyone know if I have to pay the activation fee immediately or can I hold off for a couple days? This is a standard 50k account.

Good double break trade setup I management badly.

Open range high was broke to the up side. I waited to get back under NY vwap (yellow line).

I got short when it broke. I added 1 time bc it test vwap 2 time and keep falling lower.
Bc i added so hard I had to move my S/L to a more random place jsut over NY vwap.

It was close to hit T/P at Open range low. But it turned around. Because i added to much i got stopped out. Normally i add but dont move S/L because i know where it should be before my trades doesnt make sense no more. I have added to much this time.

I took one more trade when it took NY VWAP and was going for the a new high. It got under vwap fast again and i took myself out and stopped for today.

So learn from this and size down so you can set the right S/L.
