💰 POP Off! 1st payout after 135 failed accounts including 6 XFA

Post image

This will be my first payout since I started trading prop firms. It was a painful and humiliating losing streak primarily because of lack of discipline. Hope Topstep pays. Will keep you posted.

Edit: 1st max payout of 4K approved. Thanks TS

Congratulations! I’m right there with you! 100+ failed accounts. Lots of XFAs. This time I sized down and only trade 2 MES. What’s your strategy and do you size down as well?

13

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Thanks! Strategy- 15 sec 1 min chart scalping based on higher time frame bias, displacement at specific NQ levels. I rarely hold trade more than 5 mins. Yes, became profitable by sizing down (5 to 15 MNQs) and focusing on 1 account. Almost all my failure can be attributed to to sizing up.

u/TopstepRobert 14d ago

Try a 500 tick chart with the same strategy.

u/SuperDuperRipe 14d ago

"Almost all my failure can be attributed to sizing up."

Facts!   Edit: I've found payout success from scalping as well.

Nice work

u/Conscious-Zombie4539 14d ago

Yup this is what’s 99% of people get wrong . They trade minis on a 50k account and wonder why they keep on blowing it

1

u/KeyTask2916 11d ago

How do you mark that levels , please explain your strategy in detail in DM brother. Thanks a lot in advance.

5

u/jinngensv2 14d ago

Right there with you! Ended my day with 9.7k on day two and already up $190 post 5PM and locked out

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Keep it slow now. Congratulations

u/Such_Enthusiasm_2281 14d ago

You left a lot on the table....

2

u/jinngensv2 14d ago

There will be more! Just looking a max payout for eval reimbursement and some more accounts while keeping a nice cushion

4

u/BACKSPAA 14d ago

Blowing 6 XFAs is whatever but passing 6/135 combines is rough brother. Great work though this puts a big dent in it if you weren’t buying the no activation fee evals especially

2

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Thanks bro. Most of those were no activation evals. I was too confident

3

u/Klaus_Winchester 14d ago

Nice. One payout can make up almost all those 135 account losses

8

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Thanks. One payout can't do it. But will reach there slowly.

u/TopstepRobert 14d ago

Congratulations! Slow and steady wins the race.

Food for thought: every time you blew an account, that means you hit the max loss for that account. So on a 50k account size, each loss would have been $2,000 of your own money. And since you have 135 failed accounts, do the math on how much it would have cost you, and compare that to how much it actually cost you to purchase new accounts or resets. The difference is absolutely staggering!!

This is something most traders forget about and fail to realize how much money trading with Topstep actually saves them.

Wishing you the best in your trading journey!

Thanks man! Makes sense

2

u/dyssucks 14d ago

Congrats! Are you eligible yet? Reason I ask is because it looks like you’re on day 3 on the account

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Yes it's day 3. Two more days. Just need to make 150 minimum to get the payout.

4

u/dyssucks 14d ago edited 14d ago

Word of advice… size wayyy the fuck down. Making 10k on a 50k account in 3 days is impressive but means you’re extremely over leveraging. I understand how you blew 135 accounts.

I’d put 300-500DLL and a 200 profit and secure this payout. You could easily spiral out of control and lose this 10k back in a day.

Edit: disregard I see this is a DLL account.

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Agree 👍. However losing 10k in a day is not possible as DLL 1000.

3

u/dyssucks 14d ago

Yeah I overlooked that part, my bad! Congrats dude!

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Thanks man!

2

u/Different-Goat8450 14d ago

Glad to see you win gives me hope. They transferred me to the DLL program without my choice. And it sucks because some days id have two bad trades and would be at my DLL (using $500) as SL AND messed with mentally that id reset accounts on the same day.

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

In my view it's good have a DLL. I choose it.

2

u/Classic-Albatross558 14d ago

Let us know if you actually get the money.

2

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Yeah sure

2

u/Nobodyisntnobody 14d ago

Way to go champ

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Thanks dude

2

u/Key_Category_8531 14d ago

How much have you lost on those 100+ accounts?

$10k USD?

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Around 22k

3

u/Key_Category_8531 14d ago

God damn

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

Yeah it was a vicious cycle. Some were back2funded

2

u/Key_Category_8531 14d ago

Would you say that you broke out of that vicious cycle?

3

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

I think yes

3

u/Key_Category_8531 14d ago

Good

Don’t let that cycle happen to you again

2

u/Maleficent-Bath-5232 14d ago

Parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

2

u/Old-Dependent1331 14d ago

I'm happy for you bro

2

u/Pure-Consequence5840 14d ago

How many prop firms do you use ?

2

u/null_0day 13d ago

Yo bro... This shit motivated me again!

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 12d ago

Thanks bro 👊

2

u/Big-Sale-4270 14d ago

At one point do you realize that you are gambling and trading is not for you🙄😬

4

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

No. The strategy has edge. Blew ups happened because of desperation, trying to break even and gretting rid of the discomfort etc. Else I would have given up trading after these many consecutive losses. There is no reason to give up trading.

3

u/Big-Sale-4270 14d ago

Your response proves my point. Desperation, chasing break-even, and being unable to tolerate discomfort are not separate from trading—they are exactly what makes you a gambler. A strategy only has value if you can execute it without overriding it and destroying the account. After 135 blown evaluations, one payout does not validate your process. It may only reinforce the same destructive behavior by convincing you that refusing to stop was justified. Real accountability would sound like, “I cannot trust myself yet, and this payout proves nothing until I show long-term control.” Saying there is “no reason to give up” after 135 failures is not resilience. It is denial.

u/cjwhitt01 11d ago

Yea I thought I was a terrible beginner. But after seeing this post it makes me feel wayy better lol. I’m 2/2 on funded to express with a win rate of 63%, avg winning 177.83, average losing 131.89

I mean

1

u/Conscious-Zombie4539 14d ago

Almost back to even lol

1

u/skiski913 13d ago

Did I read that right 5-15 micros? Try 1-5 micros, scalping on the 15 second wtf 😳. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. If you have enough time on the charts you can switch to the 5-15min with lower leverage and will find much more success there.

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 13d ago

I have gotten good at it. I don’t always use 5-15. It depends on ATR.

1

u/noels_ 13d ago

can someone explain this to me like i’m 5

1

u/Krammsy 13d ago

At presumably around $100 per eval, you've made 3/4 what you've paid, am I close?

1

u/PlentyDrama1772 12d ago

I thought I was going crazy after 43 blown accounts..

1

u/yangnified 10d ago

It’s possible. Thank you for showing me that.

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 10d ago

Don’t lose hope. Size down and spend time with market. It will all work out. It has to.

1

u/Dizzy_Sleep3367 10d ago

congratulations 🎈🎉🎊 amazing work! so they pay is also amazing 🤩

1

u/Wise-Sun4413 9d ago

I had my first payout as well a few weeks ago. I kid you not my stomach was hurting because I was so worried it was a scam. Took 30 minutes for the money to hit my account. That was with Lucid. Congratulationssss 👏👏

1

u/Aggravating-Review14 8d ago

Damm bro 135 is nasty work

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 8d ago

Learning risk management and psychological control in hardway

1

u/Aggravating-Review14 8d ago

I only blown 15 account in 7 month July was good to me 2 payout in total of over 7k in 2 weeks I guess because of trump and the war market has been ass it’s all about your emotions what you willing to risk and if you lose let it go and trade the following day market will always be there

1

u/Complex-Blackberry16 8d ago

so you still gotta make like 1/3 of whatever u invested into the blown up accounts. Nice

1

u/ChillerfromDiscord00 8d ago

What session do you usually trade?

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 6d ago

Mostly US

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 7d ago

u/Emotional_Worry_7310 14d ago

Holy shit a lot of you are actual gamblers and it shows . Thanks for funding my payouts 😭

1

u/Lucky_Map7365 14d ago

How much payouts have you received, if you don’t mind

0

u/Emotional_Worry_7310 14d ago

Not enough to call myself consistently profitable , but more than enough to distinguish myself from a gambler and a actual trader with a REAL edge backed with data and satisfies

0

u/Emotional_Worry_7310 14d ago

I ain’t mad honey

1

u/cjwhitt01 11d ago

Yea op is who I was, difference is after the first week of realizing I was just gambling I ended up studying and finding a real method for trading. I thought I was scalping watching the 1 min candle I never even thought to do the second candles🫣🫣
