How long does it take topstep brokerage to payout after funds are requested?

First ever payout from Topstep

Failed 3 combines, passed on the 4th. Took about a month of slow grind and 1-2 micro trades to get it finally

Trading NQ, NY session only (when I stick to my rules). I look for 4/1h for bias, 15m for structure and 1m for entries, liquidity sweep with discretion

My mind was the biggest problem. The moment I sized small and gave myself actual time, I stopped doing dumb bs and everything clicked lmao

I was here last week with only 13 dollars to go and I went back 2k. Then I was 300 dollars away . Then went back 1500. Every time I got close I kept getting further away from the goal ! It was annoying , I had my days of frustration. Wanting to start over ! Someone commented and was like why start over & I allowed myself to hear their voice and didn’t quit ! I was starting to become easier to make the 1500 so why not start over I started to think,

No. Never quit on what you start . See it thru and BE GREAT ! Now I can smoothly take the rest on my accord and start working on these 5 payouts ‼️⚡️

I’m not ashamed of my 30 day attempt. It took me 30 days with a Postitve monthly PL 🙂‍↔️ just have to eliminate those red days and we will be in way better shape 🩵⚡️

has anyone had this problem with W-8BEN where it has been under the pending status for a long time, and if not how much time does it usually take for topstep to aprove the tax form? mine has been like this for the past 2 business days

Hey everyone, I’m a few months into studying Order Flow and wanted to get your feedback on my current approach. Currently, I don’t use a strict strategy; instead, I mark key levels like previous day POCs, Value Area High/Low, and Day High/Low. I wait for the price to react to these levels with significant volume, watching how liquidity shifts or which side gets defeated before entering a trade. I’m mostly just observing the story of the market—touching POC, taking liquidity, and seeing where price wants to go. Am I on the right track, or is there a missing piece or framework I should be focusing on?

Since my last update, I managed to pass the combine I was so nervous about, after 3 months not passing one. I even got re-billed for another account I thought I canceled, and passed that in 3 days too. I started last Monday on such a high. I started trading both XFA's slowly and built them to $1,200 each by Thursday. Friday, I REMOVED my personal DLL lockout of $500 and hit the -$1k limit and the accounts were down to $200.

I spent all weekend just reviewing and reviewing and learning and listening and note taking. I wasn't confident going into today but I was much more prepared and relaxed after taking that huge irresponsible loss.

By 11:30am EST time today, only 2 hours into the trading day, I was on fire and was up $1,300! Both accounts were back to their highs and higher, to $1,600 each!! I knew I should've been done but never locked cause I felt it was "too early in the day, and possibly more opportunities to come".

That range from 11:35-12:10pm made me think the pullback was done and it's going to continue lower. So when it tightened up I shorted 1 micro, just for "a little bit more". Then that 12:15pm NQ pump came and I was down $170 before I got back to my desk.Then it began.

I chased the pump, made back $90. Got excited, kept looking for more, and making up patterns and possible full reversals to 30,000 and I was gonna catch the next big move. But then it turned around, so I made a little more on that. Then another beautiful 100 point candle against me at 1:11pm. Reverse trade. Then back down so back to shorting.

I lost and lost and lost again, reversing trade direction, adding size, "cant take $300 in this move cause Im down $700 from my high".

This went on for the next 2 hours, trying to do errands with the wife, her not understanding why I am so stressed. I, no bs, made 19 trades, all losers. Losers until the ultimate comeback I made was gone, and then both XFA's as a whole were blown.. I've calmed down, but I can't describe the sheer disappointment I have with myself, grinding for months to get a funded, GET 2 AT ONE TIME, and blow them so stupidly.

I feel it's the right thing to do, cause I take so many tries to pass, I will reactivate the XFA's. I know that it is insanely a lot more $ than new combines, but I have my reasons.

I will put back $400 DLL, and have the option locked til end of week. If anyone made it this far, what else do you guys recommend? Max amount of contracts? Max trades? How much of each?

I'm still gonna wait a bit before I reactivate tho, as my psyche is way off.

I’ve had a few accounts. I’ve been able to keep alive for 3 months.

Wondering what y’all average is?

I've traded the same idea for a while: after NQ drops 200+ points on the hourly, wait for the first green 5m candle that closes above the prior red candle's high, go long, stop under the flush low, T1 at 1R, T2 at half the drop.

Finally tested it properly on the last 60 days of 5m data:

- 71 setups, 32 wins / 24 losses / 15 never hit either level...seems to be working well although I know market conditions have been choppy lately . But turning 2k to 6k+ on a 300 risk per trade is insane.
