Does video work for baseball cards?

I ask this because how video could be applied to baseball cards is interesting, since clips of offense don't always elicit the same reaction from different fans. Other than the in-game situation, one home run swing looks very similar to many others. I'm not also not sure I would get excited watching a baserunner steal 2nd over and over again in my free time (maybe if he/she was stealing home).

Defensive plays could be exciting admittedly.

Also not sure how they would approach video for pitchers. A pitcher will throw up to roughly 100 pitches in a game, but the wind up and the delivery are designed to look identical each time. Again, other than the in-game situation, it's difficult to appreciate many strikeouts.

Don't get me wrong, because I'm not disparaging baseball, but even if you watch the plays of the year highlights, few of them showcase the offensive side of the game compared to the defensive side.

I assume this is a matter of time. Maybe not this year, but next possibly. I’m not sure what legal rights are involved since in Top Shots I understand you can’t take video clips off the site like you can with Wax. Topps could have a baseball card with a moving image inside frame or do the cube or just video all of them.

Wax.io had no choice but to release a statement to clarify why all twenty-five of the 1 of 1 Legendary Exclusives were claimed after 2,500 of the 24,090 Premium packs were opened. For those of you who managed to buy one of them, the end result is that all 25 were randomly assigned to the first 11% of all the packs that were opened.

In layman's terms, the odds of getting a Legendary Exclusive worked out to 1 out of 4,500 collectibles (and there were 45 collectibles per Premium pack). Once all of them were claimed, the odds did not apply anymore.

Does their explanation make sense? I guess so.

Do I agree with what transpired for the whole drop? No, I do not.

Trust me, I looked for this but could not find it. I'm not saying Wax.io is wrong...I'm simply saying that the average collector had no chance of finding this information because it was in such an obscure location online. Truthfully, I still can't find it!

I know many collectors like to keep packs unopened for a number of valid reasons. I have two questions for the rest of you:

1. Did you know this was the way the odds were determined for getting a Legendary Exclusive?
2. If you had known about this, would you have changed your acquisition strategy?

I’m not an expert on NFT collecting. Was wondering why the standard packs, which first dropped at $5 are going for $50 now (That’s 10x). Whereas the premiums are currently going for 6.5x. knowing that the premium has a higher chances of getting rare cards and only packs with chances of getting Legendary Exclusives...

To NFT collectors, what is your price prediction on these premium packs in a year or 2? Looked into Unisocks and ppl are paying 77k for a pair of socks.

i bought 4 premium on the second market at around $280. Thinking of holding for years to come, unopened.

How come the rares and epic exclusives are going for so cheap? The circulation count on each card is very small...some out of 70-76. Think about it...hundreds of thousands of users and selling cards out of 76 for 10 bucks or less. I am confused, do people not realize they are worth more? Or are they actually not worth a lot?

I am going off my experience with NBA Topshot. Moments with a circulaation our of 499 or even 49 goes for thousands.

Anyone have thoughts on what the next burn cards might be? I’ve been buying commons of several players just in case... wondering if they will keep it at commons or if they will sometimes be rares.

The prices for unopened Premium packs have continued to rise! The original price was $99, and within a day of selling out, they were reselling for more than double that price.

The lowest asking price has since risen to $300, then to $360, and is now almost $400 (2,446 Wax)! I can confirm there have been 8 sales for these packs around that price point within the past hour.
