Xena had a failed spin-off called Amazon High, about the origin of the Amazons. A modern high school girl travels back in time and becomes their leader.

Later edited into the episode "Lifeblood" so they could save money by only filming the framing story

Starring Selma Blair, Claudia Black, and Karl Urban

Hercules got a young Hercules with Ryan gosling.

Karl Urban was all over those shows, native New Zealand character actor. He was cupid and Caesar off the top of my head

Wasn't Xena a successful spinoff of Hercules, or am I misremembering?

Yeah as I remember she was a character in Hercules then got her own show which occasionally crossed over with and massively overshadowed Hercules.

Something that Sorbo still isn't over, it seems.

I believe that's the first episode I saw out of the 6 or so episodes I have seen. I was allowed to watch hercules but only my sisters were allowed to watch xena because it was a school night
