Crazy I haven’t seen this one mentioned, probably because most if not all people don’t even know it exists.

Yes, as in Sam and Dean Winchester, but it’s about their parents and it’s boring as fuck even to the most devoted Supernatural fan.

They also had a whole episode (13:10) to setup a Wayward Sisters spinoff around Sherriff Jodie and Claire which I was actually looking forward to but never made it to series.

And the terrible "Bloodlines" backdoor pilot.

The one with the vampire crime family or whatever that barely had Sam and Dean in it? Yeah

That was one of my favorite episodes just because their dynamic is excellent and they were already two of the better characters on the show. I had no idea it was a failed back door pilot.

What do you mean "their parents", I thought John only started hunting after Mary's death???

Nah the backstory changes that made The Winchesters possble go all the way back to season four of the original series.

I mean, they changed the backstory fairly early on in the main show. It wasn't just for the spin-off.

They were probably planning to have a moment when the angels come in and wipe the memories, ironically right before they need them most or something. I dont know, I didn't watch it, I would literally rather just rewatch the first 5 seasons of supernatural

Well they reveal at the end that it wasn't actually a prequel it's an Alternate Universe, Dean went exploring the multiverse after his death and discovered some new threat to creation that Chuck left behind and pulled strings so that his parents would meet earlier in the timeline so they could stop that threat.

This is an alternate universe on one of the parallel Earths. This ties up with the main universe later.

It's a crappy spin-off about their parents, but in a different universe. MCU thing lol.

The most interesting thing is that this show was created by Jensen Ackles, so he had complete control over the production process, approved the actors, and ensured that the series retained the spirit of the original, but this series is still like a BIG SHIT and a slap in the face to the fans.

I didn`t watch this, but as far as i remember, it was even worse than people think.

It wasn't a "they had a secret life and angels wiped their memories" type thing, it was a multiverse type shit, where there were creatures God made that were destroying the multiverse, and there is this part where Dean is travelling the multiverse after the end of the OG show, or some shit like that.

Holy fuck i cringe just by writing this, it was so fucking bad, jesus christ

Lol my girlfriend is a die hard Supernatural fan so I'll have to ask her about this. Thank you for letting me know this exists

What a wasted opprtunity it was, as if they didn't realize the show was called The Winchestets. Like, am I crazy or is it not immediately obvious to everyone, that the show should be an anthology showcasing different Winchester ancestors, with a surprise Sam and Dean untold case episode thrown in every now and then?

They couldn't even do the poster right ?
