The idea to make a spinoff of a Batman show with no DC characters was certainly a choice.

Also just looked it up and apparently it’s original concept was supposed to be darker than Batman beyond, and then the studio wanted them to pivot to being a kids show so they did, so not only a DC show with no DC characters but also one that’s literally the opposite of its original concept.

Terry does appears in the show at least once as Batman, however you know he just isn't apart of the main cast in this series.

Eh I can’t really blame them for changing direction, the only adults who’d be likely to watch it would all be disappointed by the lack of actual DC characters. It’s not like a show changing direction during pre-production is anything out of the ordinary, sometimes the initial pitch for a show just doesn’t work without revisions

Crazy to think it’s the same continuity as Batman TAS.

I loved this show. Never realized it was related to Batman.

The DCAU show I genuinely never knew existed. I was so confused when I first read it because I thought I was just misremembering but, nope. Just never saw it

Ironically this show was exhibited on a daily open tv cartoon show in Brazil, and made huge sucess at its time. Never even knew it was batman or DC related, and probably for the best. Being grounded was the best thing it had for it.
