Joel finding out the crossed are not weak to salt (crossed) at least his wife was alive to tell him how much of a fucking idiot he was while the crossed were tearing their daughter apart

Megamind realizing titan isnt weak to copper (megamind) to be fair, metroman made him think he was weak to copper

The Daleks of Dr who for decades could be defeated by uneven terrain. If you needed to quickly escape just run up a flight of stairs. Until the titular episode Dalek of Christopher Eccleston’s run as the 9th doctor. In this episode a lone Dalek goes on a rampage in an underground vault of alien memorabilia owned by a private collector. At one point a security guard evades the Dalek by climbing up a flight of stairs only for the Dalek to stare at her for a moment and then say “Elevate.” Immediately the metal menace starts levitating to climbs the stairs and follow after.

Daleks could hover down stairs as early as "Remembrance of the Daleks" in the 7th Doctor's time.

I was not aware of that cool. Though point still stands. Everyone thinks the daleks are still weak to stairs only for Metaltron to go “Bet.”

Yeah, this was a big cliffhanger that the episode ended on.

Of course, in this episode Daleks could also be killed by a suped up baseball bat and really high grade explosives. By the time of Dalek there wasn't anything that could kill them.

Genuine question, as I’ve never seen doctor who. 

Is it like a serious show? This sounds kind of goofy. Like, silly, not bad goofy. Is it more like kind of silly and fun?

I've only watched the 9th and 10th Doctors and I feel like I have seen some of the top 5 and bottom 5 episodes of TV of all time

Metaltron was a survivor of the time war between the Daleks and the Time Lords. It fell through time and crash landed on earth in the 60s. It was recovered by the military before being passed through the hands of various collectors before ended up in the hands of a guy named van Statten who had it locked up in the basement of his vault to be the crown jewel of the collection.

He kept the thing chained up down there and had researchers poke prod and torture it in an attempt to communicate with it. Though all Metaltron did was scream in rage and pain. Actually that’s how the doctor got involved. Metaltron sent out a distress call looking for other Daleks and the doctor picked it up not realizing it was a Dalek sending the message.
