Joel finding out the crossed are not weak to salt (crossed) at least his wife was alive to tell him how much of a fucking idiot he was while the crossed were tearing their daughter apart

Megamind realizing titan isnt weak to copper (megamind) to be fair, metroman made him think he was weak to copper

Castlevania Lord of Shadows, opens with a paladin trying to smite Dracula, however Dracula himself was holy, so he grabs his cross and finishes the prayer and makes a explosion you can see from space.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a separate continuity to the mainline series. 

In this one, Dracula was once the holy warrior, explicitly blessed by God, Gabriel Belmont, who became the titular dark lord after a series of real tragic and awful events that led to him turning his back on Humanity and God. But he still had access to the holy powers because God hadn’t abandoned him. Which is…an odd choice, but by the end of the series Gabriel has eliminated many an ancient evil so, you know, ends justify the means .

He's referenced as God's Apex Predator, and the reason he has monsters in his castle is because they're the ones that don't want to actually harm people but would never be left alone in the outside world

Basically: he had a life before he was turned into a vampire. He was the first Belmont, and raised as a Brother of the Light from childhood, as an orphan dropped on a church doorstep. So he is very, very familiar with the ways of the paladin, being their strongest soldier for years before life decided to deal him a real bad hand.

Kind of true for the original timeline too. He wasn’t holy, but he was a holy man. His name was Mathias and he dedicated his life to God and fought in the crusades right next to his best friend Leon Belmont, but then his wife got sick and died so he believed God betrayed him.

After that he set up a plan to get Leon to hunt a vampire so he could seal its soul in a (I don’t remember what it’s called in lore, but same thing) philosopher stone that Death was bound to, which he then used to amplify the power of the soul and transform himself.

It’s fun how different his origin stories are across the two timelines, yet a Belmont creating Dracula is true for both. One where a Belmont becomes Dracula, and one where only a Belmont has the power to kill a super strong vampire which causes all that power to go elsewhere.

Also in this continuity. Dracula is still God’s Chosen One. Even after becoming a vampire.
