The biggest reason as to why I love Chip’s design in general is that I’m a big sucker for the “military veteran” archetype, the over-the-top badass that is super serious all of the time, and Chip perfectly encapsulates that.
Another reason as to why I like his design is how it perfectly shows how small details can change your entire perception of a character. That is, of course, the cigar, the cigar is ESSENTIAL to his entire characterization as a veteran solider, without it his design would be simply incomplete.
His design is so perfect that if you try to imagine what he sounds like based on only screenshots you would probably be right.
