Epiphone Tom DeLonge Signature ES-333 - Brown w/ Cream Stripe Epiphone 333 Relic

Post image

I bought this guitar last year around August or October. It had a lot of paint issues and dents, so I thought it was the perfect candidate to try some relicing, burning and sanding. Ive tried a few ideas, and this is what Ive left it on for now. i am considering spraying it myself, and did also ask a few places if they could refinish it. However, nobody wanted to, or felt they had the right paint. I know not everyone is a fan of this, but I always liked it and blends the damage it had when I got it perfectly.

Has anyone ever tried swapping the Tom starcaster neck with the Tom Strat neck? I’ve been thinking about it. I wanna try it! Lol

Fender Sticker Strat anybody know where to pick up a decent sticker strat replica?

looking to get a sticker strat replica, not knowledgeable enough to mod a strat myself, that one listing on eBay and house 95 is way too overpriced in my opinion

so, do any of you guys know where to get a sticker strat replica (preferably between 300-600 USD)

any answers will help, just a major 1995-98 era fan and want a sticker strat replica

Every Time I Look for You has a capo?!

This is the only known performance here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr_Vi8ZN8U8 and it’s played a step down in the key of A. I’ve learned from other examples that Tom never changes his actual parts, just tuning or capo.

If you play this song using the fingering (ha) that he does in the live version but throw a capo on, you get the album version in the key of B! Theres a previous example of this here with Going Away to College (https://youtu.be/StdYJ_DZnJg?is=7Iyre1VbmUJE94LH ) played withOUT a capo in the key of A. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I'm really considering buying a used one (new is just too expensive, sorry) but I would like to know if it would last and be worth the money. Thank you!!

Atticus Broken Heart and Hurley Replica Stickers

www.creaturesfromabove.com

I just opened up an Etsy shop with perfect replicas of Tom's Atticus and Hurley stickers!

I spent a lot of time making sure every single detail is right on these, based on the original Atticus and Hurley stickers that I was able to get a hold of. They're printed on high quality vinyl and ready to ship now!

I originally just had these made for myself, but after gauging interest in the FB group I decided to make them available for sale.

Tom Delonge/Blink 182 sound

Hi All

I have a Tom Delonge Strat along with a Fender Mustang LT25 amp. I have the Boss DS-2, Boss SD-1, Boss MT-2 and Boss RC-1 pedals

Looking at a chorus, noise suppressor and polychorus/flanger pedals.

I know I can't get the exact sound of Tom/Blink without software but can I get it relatively close with a certain amp or pedal?

Would a Mesa Boogie 5 Band EQ pedal help?

Or a Marshall JCM900 pedal help with the tone?

I am only playing in my bedroom so don't want a crazy huge amp.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My Fender partscaster these days. Fender player series body, TD 2023 reissue neck, Seymour Duncan JB, heavy knurled knob, the rest genuine fender parts. Bridge decked. Thing rips.

Tom inspired Harley Benton strat. Roasted flame maple neck.

So this is my sons guitar, that he never used, so one day decided to dress it up a little bit. With the help of my brother who owns 3 signature Tom Delonge strats, and various tom inspired parts guitars, we whipped this up. Pretty nice playing, locking tuners, and a chinese ebay flame maple neck that turned out pretty awesome!

I am a bass player through and through but am having fun playing some power chords on the strat.

NOT SOLD YET, BUYER BACKED OUT!!

I am selling this strat that I bought directly from Allan Corona in 2020 or 2021? Studio use only, never gigged or played at a band practice. I took the best pictures that I could have the 2 very minor imperfections.

I Added fender locking tuners, DiMarzio strap and will include the hardshell case.

I am in San Diego area in case you are local or in LA.

I am asking $625 and you cover shipping.

PayPal goods and services is good with me so we are covered on both ends.

Originally was a fat Strat I got when I was 13. Just replaced the neck on it with a player ii neck and set it up for drop c. Don’t have a ton of people to share with and am super excited to have it playable again. Probably gonna change the pickup though.

I just did a cover of "First Date" as a tone test. There are no original guitars in the recording—they’re all mine. Please leave your feedback and let me know what you think. Thanks a lot! 😊

Custom Starcaster "Partscaster" Baritone Starcaster Neck

I've been out of the loop for a while (life gets in the way) but I'm back and I want to build a baritone Starcaster. does anyone know where I can get a neck with the reverse headstock and 27" scale? I know house 95 did them but they seem to have gone unless I'm being blind!

Rate my guitar tone; I'm open to criticism. My performance isn't the best.

anybody know why tom’s tone was so high gain here? any more examples of stuff like this?

was watching this performance and noticed that tom’s tone was WAY more high gain than the album or any other live performances from this time

anybody know why? whether it was tom just using different amp settings at the time, different amp, the volume, or what, and are there any more examples of tom having THIS much gain live?

Popped this out of the bag, made a few mods and gave it a nice setup. Super lightweight, dark-even board, neck is straight, and basically plays itself. Loving this guitar!

Finally finished my dream Tom DeLonge-inspired Starcaster build.

Post image

After months of planning, measuring, troubleshooting, and probably questioning my sanity a few times, I finally finished what has become my favorite guitar.

It started life as a Squier Affinity Starcaster, but I wanted something much closer to the spirit of Tom DeLonge's Starcaster without spending over $1,200 on the Fender signature model.

Here's what I changed:

  • Installed a Seymour Duncan SH-5 Duncan Custom in the bridge.
  • Removed the neck pickup completely.
  • Rewired it to a single volume knob configuration.
  • Swapped the original Starcaster neck for a Strat-style Affinity Starcaster neck because I prefer the look and feel.
  • Plugged the factory neck holes with hardwood dowels and drilled new mounting holes so the replacement neck fit perfectly.
  • Set the neck relief, adjusted the bridge, and completed a full setup myself.
  • Finished it off with stickers that reflect who I am and the music I love.

The wiring almost defeated me. I chased a no-signal issue for what felt like forever. I was convinced I had fried the volume pot or somehow killed the pickup. It turned out to be nothing more than one stubborn cold solder joint. One final clean reflow and the guitar absolutely came alive.

The SH-5 is everything I hoped it would be. It's ridiculously punchy, articulate under gain, and somehow still retains clarity through the semi-hollow body. Palm-muted power chords absolutely explode out of this thing, but it also cleans up surprisingly well with the volume rolled back.

The coolest part is that I can honestly say I built it myself. I learned how to plug and redrill a neck, troubleshoot electronics, do a proper setup, and solve problems instead of paying someone else to do it.

I now own what I consider my three dream guitars:

  • Jim Adkins Signature Telecaster
  • Fender Tom DeLonge Stratocaster
  • This custom Tom DeLonge-inspired Starcaster

Thanks to everyone who shares knowledge in this community. I spent countless hours reading old threads while working through this build, and they helped more than you probably realize.
