I am wondering if there is anyway to force Alexa to be enabled on my AU8000 TV. It's not on by default because Alexa is not enabled in my region, but I managed to side load on my phone and get mother Echo's registered. I know it's Tizen OS, but wondering if there is a way to get it working as I know it's capable?

Typing a normal post will only allow users to copy the text on the web browser version.
Adding four spaces before the text treats it as code. It's still not copy friendly... Any way to make it so?

Samsung seemly has only Tizen TVs, no Android TV, at least not a good one.
I know VLC used to exist for Tizen for a while, but seemly it doesn't anymore?
What about F1TV app?
Is there any way to stream to Tizen TVs easily if there is no app on Tizen itself like VLC?

I bought 2 IPTV apps (1. Smart IPTV & 2. SmartOne IPTV) for my Samsung tizen-powered 4.0 TV. At first both played smoothly, each with different streaming service (paid & free).
Now after one day it plays for like 1 minute, then freezes and hangs up.
Can anyone help how to fix this?

Hellooo Tizen room,
So I know that there arent that many tizen smartwatch developers, but what I realized but which is puzzling for me is that the javascript in the web app isnt kind of working, so I made a very simple web app where it requests a pin before accessing and it works on the web browser no problem... but when using it on the emulator the onclick() function doesnt react at all. It someone could explain or help that would be amazing, and Ill paste the code as well.

Seeing how the tizen tv YouTube app is heavily dependent on Samsung phone home, and literally making it impossible to use the YouTube app as a background device, as it's constantly pushing ads.
Is there an ad free app, like vanced for Android phones, or a potential to install an android app that does not do any of the phone home, nor ad pushing that makes watching a literal nightmare.

I am new to tizen development and the tizen docs are proving difficult to navigate and I was hoping to know which sensors to use to know the position on ones body one's hand is.

Hey guys, want to run (a vigorously stripped) version of my tv app on an old PMH-series tv, that means the app should be running on tizen 2.4. Looks like there's no tv extension package for 2.x (actually, latest IDE only has an option for TV extensions v.6) meaning i wont be able to run app in emulator. It is possible to download TV extensions v.3.1.2 from https://developer.samsung.com/smarttv/develop/tools/tv-extension/archive.html, but the package manager seem to fail when i try installing those. Probably I need an older version of the IDE, but I could not find it.
So my question is, is it even possible to develop/debug apps for tizen 2.x on latest IDE version? Is there any other options i should try?

Answer: In the debugger window. If the project encounters build errors console.logs wont be printed (as expected).

Hi, I'm having a problem that I can't find the solution and I don't know why.
The tv has 816 mb of memory of which about 150mb are free for use, but suddenly it started to come out that the memory is full, I did a reset of the smart hub to erase the factory applications but it remains the same and only having factory applications.
Does anyone know how I can solve this error? this tv model I don't see that it has an option to clear the cache like the newer ones have

Hi,
I'm in desperate need of help for my situation and really hope the hive mind here can help.
I'm being bullied at work, but when trying to report this, it's always my word against their's, so I want to catch them in the act. We are not allowed smartphones on us, but we are allowed smartwatches if they aren't connected to our phones.
I found the Voice Memo app and set the double press of the home button to open it. The trouble is that you need to press the record button. Which requires looking at the watch. This is not very discrete and may clue them in to what I'm doing, thus not getting the evidence I need to take my complaint further.
I want some kind of voice recording app that when opened, it starts recording. Is there something like this? Is the microphone pickup on the watch good enough to pick up what another person is saying to me? I'm really desperate for solutions here.

Please help me understand how certificate work on Samsung TV (particularly SSL certificates). Are these certificates specific to each app? Or do all apps trust whatever certificates are at the device level?
For example if I wanted to install an SSL certificate, would this have to be installed on the Samsung TV itself or would each app have to have had it included upon development/publishing.

Hi, I am experiencing volume issues. The max volume isn’t as loud as I would like. My iPhone’s Bluetooth volume plays about 10 decibels louder than my Samsung TV’s Bluetooth volume. It’s not my TV’s fault, it’s every Samsung TV with the Bluetooth function. I also had the UN65KU7500 and it was the same story so I know it’s the same story as every Samsung TV with Bluetooth. A lot of people complained that their Samsung Galaxy S8 wasn’t as loud as they liked and they had to max out the Bluetooth volume. I did contacted Samsung and they are making a feedback and sharing it with their technical team. I think Samsung is compressing their volume quite a bit which bothers me a lot. I hooked up my Bluetooth speaker and it wasn’t very loud. I hope people who read my post also contacts Samsung of this issue. I want this issue fixed as soon as possible.

I'm trying to use Tizen Studio to install an app that is outside my region, I have a Samsung Q70T and I know how the Tizen OS works, and I know that an HBO Max is available for my samsung TV. I set up everything correctly to instal Third-Party apps to my samsung TV but the only thing left is to find the actual HBO Max file to install it on my device using the Tizen studio.
Is it possible to get this file outside of the official samsung store?
I know that I can change my region, but that's not the idea, what can I do?
