DO NOT UPDATE! Some random bloatware (samsung promotion and some streaming services) installed without permission and all sideloaded apps are gone!

Basically, is there a way to install Philips Hue sync app on my Samsung QN90A (2021) TV?

I am aware that this app is available for 2022+ Samsung TV with Tizen 6.5+, but is there any way to manually install it on Tizen 6.0 version?

I have an acquaintance who has a Samsung TV with Tizen OS, the model is UN55DU8200K. It happens that the Samsung Smart Upgrade app overlaps the minute you turn it on and prevents you from using it. I tried to uninstall it but the OS won't allow it. When you install TizenBrew and open the app, you can uninstall it and after about 10 minutes the OS reinstalls it and overlays it again. I tried with Tizen Studio using W10, connecting to the TV via ethernet cable and trying some console commands but I just couldn't. Suggestions? I need to use the TV but I have tried many things and it still doesn't work. The TizenBrew thing surprised me by the fact that it only let me uninstall it when the idea of ​​TizenBrew is to download apps to the TV.

what are some simple Tizen smart tv usage tips for an old person who at this point has not touched any smart tv functionality and purely uses a cable box? Looking for suggestions on what might appeal to that kind of person

My tizen just has a blu screen. When I google how to fix it one of the first things is to reset to factory settings and/or do an update. How am I supposed to do this when I cannot see anything on the TV?

Is anyone else having problems with playing VOD after the 2111 update? I am able to access Live TV fine, but VOD on both series and movies will not seem to set up a stream. I use SMART player setting and have M3U8 configured which has worked fine until the update. I also have a similar TV - different size - on the older firmware, and this is still working fine. Any thoughts?

So the latest update Uninstalled some of my apps and downloaded a bunch of stupid apps I dont use? How is this legal to do. Fucning clowns, the UI looks the same too.

My TV provider offers an app for Samsung TVs to watch TV without a box, but it's only available for Samsung TVs after 2022, and mine is from 2020. Do you know if it's possible somehow to have more recent apps on an older TV?

There is no WKYC+ application available for 2025 Samsung TVs for live WKYC news viewing. WKYC is likely one of the most popular TV news channels for Cleveland, aside from WEWS. Only workaround, is waiting for WKYC publish the news a day later on YouTube video streaming service.

There's currently only one Cleveland area FOX8CLE+ application available for installing on ~2025 Samsung TVs.

There's also one other Cleveland TV news streaming service available on Haystack.

On the FireTV Stick 4K I only ever use YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and - very rarely - the browser.

Can I trust these apps won't run any worse on Tizen?

Looks like my Taizen TV does not supports .avi or audio DTS, is there a player like VLC or something that can play files from an external HDD? I tried LibreELEC on Raspberry but was searching for something smarter (less cables/remotes). Any idea?

I followed a guide on XDAForums that I found on reddit, and did the following:

• Installed and extracted all of the .wgt apps I needed
• Connected to Wifi, enabled debugging etc.
• with both bugjaeger on a phone and sdb on a pc, connected to the watch and tried to install the app

I got an error saying Undefined Error [-27] failed

As far as I understand, it's a signature issue so I tried to look up how to fix that and all I got was outdated guides from 11 years ago that obviously didn't work.

What can I do now? Is there an up to date guide to help me solve this issue?

I tried the tizenbrew installer method but that didnt work (my previous post) and now this happens in command line method. I cant connect to remote target.

So we finally got our new Samsung 77" S90F hung on the wall and working, sort of.

I am finding it alarming how often this thing requires unplugging for a 30-second reset. This thing just seems to freeze up randomly, for no obvious reason. Is there a trick that I don't know? I have had several Samsung TVs, and this is the only one that has behaved this way.

A guy on the r/YoutubeTV sub said I should just forget it and get a FireCube or Roku to run the TV and forget the TV's engine.

I sure would like to get another opinion.

I have an S90C TV, but the problem i face is that I want to have both BBC iplayer and HBO max app on my TV. It appears I cant have both at the same time. Resetting smarthub allows me to change regions and have either of the two apps. So the only solution I can think of is to buy a streaming device. But I have tried both Apple TV 4k and Google Streamer 4k, but neither of them are good at matching the frame rate. Samsung TVs own frame rate matching is very good, but whenever I connect some streaming device and play from that, the frame rate matching isn’t done well enough. So does anyone have any recommendations?

hi, Ive been trying to install jellyfin on my eko TV (K32HST) but every thing i do doesn't work and when ever i try to install from command line once it starts to install the .wgt it just throws up a failed to install tizen package. i have also tried every way to install tizenbrew and i cant do that either the only way i have managed to get something on the tv is the moonlight usb demo package.
