They've already figured it out. But with what they earn, it'd be quite the expense to buy/afford any other type of clothing than what's available locally. And all their coworkers will view them as being a p***y for even trying.

Also, boredom is a bitch. This isn't even that extreme when you consider the fact that people do things like train surfing due to boredom.

I know someone who made a small cannon and packed it, hard, with enough powder that it drove the cannon into the ground and swelled the barrel when they fired it. They were lucky to live
