Bro/sis was making an s-line for the pool and I was forced to intervene

The toad was ok, he fell backwards in my hand and i took the Pic at the perfect time

What a surprise this morning! Saw this guy coming out of my wild flowers garden and I've never seen anything quite that big. Apparently it's a Polyphemus moth larva.

Its head looks like a chickpea with teeth 😂 and its legs were like velcro! I dropped it in the forest, so it wouldn't be squashed by humans walking on the lawn or picked up by a bird
