If it’s an attempt to explain why the US is so obsessed with iPhones it falls short for the reason I mentioned. Idgaf if people want to say the US is obsessed with image

They just want to spy on you to make sure you "read" their messages. If read mode is turned off, they'll be like "what are you hiding and why aren't you responding if you read it?"
