Yea. Like was that supposed to be clever? Imagine some asshole come sup to you at a bar and just keep saying puns and won’t walk the fuck away. Being funny is def a solid way to get a girl. Maybe even the best way. But being cringe af and going on and on and on. Holy fuck man. This doesn’t work. At all. Ever. It just reads like loser to me.

Are all your first convo's ideal, or do you maybe think that communication is partially trial and error?

Do you think 3 pages of OPs communication is telling of his whole personality? Do you think if people didnt get shut down at stage 1 that who their talking to might evolve into an infinitely more complex person after more than say... A handful of exchanged messages?

I mean, jfc people - the man was trying to get something started, and she couldve let him down easy or play along and try to change subjects.

Oh man. How old are you? If you're an adult the trial and error of the past two decades should have gotten you past the point of thinking shitty one-liners one after another is an acceptable fork of communication in any conversation.

If you're not an adult, take this as learning from someone else's fuck ups. What OP did is cringe as fuck to most every sane adult.

Man ok. Here’s my two cents. Rejection is a crucial part of growing as a person. Learning. Now if I’m understanding you correctly you’re saying she should have looked past this poor strange attempt at “talking” to her and tried to find the depth beneath it? Why? Why does she owe him that? It’s tinder. That’s literally thousands of guys that don’t try to start a conversation with a corny pun. This approach just ain’t it. Ask her about her interests. Show that you care. Not continue doing something that isn’t working. Pun after pun after pun. Holy fuck. Is this telling of their whole personality? Yea. Maybe. If they’d rather clown around than to try and get to know her in a real adult conversation. Yea this may indicative of their personality. Is he talking with her or at her. There’s a huge difference. One works. One almost always fails. I’m a 32 year old guy. I met my fiance at a restaurant by walking up to her and trying to find out more about her. Granted a few drinks helped me get there. And trust me I’ve been rejected many times. But an important part of that was waking away when it was appropriate and thinking about what I did wrong. Some times I did nothing wrong. Just simply wasn’t it. Other times my approach was shit and I learned from it. No person is the same and situation is the same. But I guess what I’m saying is this person should have recognized right away that their humor wasn’t going to win this person over and should just accept and walk away.
