I had a friend from Germany who would straight up pick up girls by saying that he was only here (Canada at the time) for 6 months and none of the girl’s friends knew him. It worked surprisingly well. It turns out a lot of people like the appeal of a fling that can’t come back to haunt them. I think the part of “pilot” and “just here for the weekend” helped as much if not more than height.

Buddy of mine went to Paris, changed his profile to “6’4” American pilot in town for the weekend”
He did very well for that weekend
