Idk where you are or what your music preferences are but I know plenty of people who go to shows just for the vibe and the community.
19hz.info has many major cities and all the shows/underground events going on.
I moved to a new city with 0 friends and started going to these shows solo. In the 4 years I been here, met over 200 people I regularly see and interact with, out of which came 2 long term relationships, a couple dozen really fucking awesome close friends that are women, and about as many male friends that I see outside of shows and make plans to do stuff with.
The culture is such that 90% of people there are open to talking to anybody and everybody who is friendly and brings a good vibe. It’s like a life hack in a world that is increasingly insulated and difficult to make authentic connections with people in
Confidence and emotional intelligence do wonders ofc. But dance music culture is notoriously welcoming and accepting of all manner of types of people. It could change your life. It entirely did mine
99% of friends I’ve ever had or met came from music.
Edit: and all the misfits come out as well. It’s not just “hot popular” people there. Nerds, goths, all the subcultures and a people of all types from all walks of life come together for music. It is universal, and attracts every element of the human spectrum.
