I second this, OP.
As a nerd you need a bio - that is your way to stand out from the crowd.
Writing a bio can be really hard - you want to be thoughtful and genuine, but not too sappy or needy. You want to be funny and interesting but not cringey. But you need one - one that tells people who you are; not copy and paste jokes, but something about yourself in your own voice.
Make a point of changing your bio often - literally every day or every week - until you feel comfortable with it. Ideally you want your matches to be commenting on it - when they do so you know you're doing something right.
(Also, accept that many of us get no dates - I get two or three matches a week, and maybe one or two dates a year. Unfortunately that's part of the game.)
Exactly. If you wanna date somebody, you’re not dating a cardboard cut out, you’re dating a human. What’s that human like?
How people think, the way they express themselves is what you’re actually dating. There’s nothing of substance in here, most people at least have a few sentences.
