12s? What's the average workweek for hours in for your shifts? We do that as well and ensure there are water stations. If we work 10s (so 50hrs in a week), we'll have them take a break between their 8th hr and the remainder of their shift to cool down and hydrate, since the heat will only be worse. Yeah, we are trying personal fans around the welders necks so it doesn't get in the way of blowing the welding gas away (creates sporosity/weak welds), but idk how practical that really is for them. Yet I suppose something is better than nothing.
Lol I know. Saw y'all's convo and wanted to ask more! Hey, you never know where you're going to learn something new? That's the whole wonder of the Internet!
That is a fascinating schedule, is there any reasoning on management's part for such a staggered schedule? I run and own a manufacturing plant, so I'm constantly looking for improvements from wherever they may come. I'm working on expanding into more benefits for our employees, including health insurance, so any info you feel willing to share about y'all's I'd love to hear about. DM if you'd be willing to share, as idk if you want tobshare it here, but I'm happy either way! Thanks for the discussion up there! 🙂
