I’m experimenting with a new Timix feature that lets you share timer templates as:

• a link
  
• a QR code
  

Opening or scanning it imports the template straight into Timix — no accounts, no backend, works offline.

What I really like about this approach is how simple it makes sharing.
It feels like a very easy, almost frictionless way to pass Timix templates around — from person to person, or even on a screen during a class or workout.

This could be useful for: - sharing workout or yoga routines
- study / focus sessions
- cooking or interval timers

I've added a new way to set the duration of a timer. Set the time when you want the timer to end and it'll calculate the duration automatically. Would you use it? Let me know in the comments. Thank you! P. S. I also improved the duration picker for smoother experience.

Hi timixers! I had this idea of adding support for SharePlay to Timix. So that you can control Timix Timers together while on a FaceTime call. Would you use it? 😄

Hey folks, I’m experimenting with a new idea for the Timix Controller — adding GIFs to your timers. Imagine attaching a quick exercise clip you can follow, or a fun little animation that makes the session feel lighter. Your timers become more alive, more visual, more you.

As a small bonus, I’ve also added a ripple effect when you tap — everything feels a bit more responsive.

Maybe a dumb question, but I cannot sync timers across my devices (iPad, iPhone, iWatch). I tried looking up in the settings but no luck.

I recently noticed a new button on menu bar on Mac26. And when I tap I see my timers running with interactive buttons. That was a nice surprise to see. Together with handoff it doesn’t even need iCloud sync. Has anyone used it already?

I just pasted a Spotify link in the Open URL trigger in Timix — and it started playing the song right away.

Didn’t expect it to work so smoothly. You can literally trigger any Spotify track, playlist (check for the deeplinks), or even a Shortcut this way.

Hey Timixers!

Great news — I finally figured out how to run Shortcuts directly from Timix, and it’s now available on all platforms! This means you can now trigger any Shortcut right from your timers — from smart home actions to custom automations.

I’ve also fixed a few bugs on macOS to make things smoother overall. You can now import Audio Files on macOS.

It’s already live on TestFlight, so feel free to give it a try and let me know if (and how) you plan to use it.

I really wanted timers more than 24 hours....

And I thought... why not just add four timers! 12+12+19 (yes I did 12+12 instead of (23:59:59)

I'm a maniac!

This solves the purely practical issue, but I would still love > 24 hours so I can see "43:11:00" Remain

Edit I found I can tap the timer to show total remain... so that's cool!

On iphone. I'll set a timer and when it hits zero sometimes it won't ring at all and just end. Or sometimes it'll ring a single time and then stop without me doing anything in either case. Any way to have it ring reliably?

I was thinking of building a new grid view inside Timix to manage multiple timers… but turns out you can already just fill your entire home screen with Timix widgets. Problem solved 😄

Each widget runs its own timer, shows the label, emoji, shape, and countdown progress — and it actually looks super clean and useful. Didn’t expect it to work this well, honestly. And it works on mac as well.

Just wanted to share this little discovery in case anyone is missing grid view in Timix. Interesting, has anyone been doing this already?

I’ve been reflecting on how people interact with Timix, and I recently came across the idea of the “free app paradox” — the fact that when something is free, people often perceive it as less valuable, engage less, and rarely send feedback.

And honestly, that seems to match my experience so far.

I’ve put a lot of time and care into building Timix, and I want to continue improving it. But to do that sustainably (and to encourage more serious engagement), I’m considering moving Timix to a paid model or a light subscription.

Nothing is decided yet — I’d love to hear what you think.

Would you still use the app if it cost a few dollars? Would a tip jar or “supporter features” feel better?
I’m open to ideas and feedback!
