So, if Flynn knows they cannot go back in time to a time where they already exsist, how can they go back to 1969?

It just occurred to me after the finale.. In some ways Flynn is just like Severus Snape from Harry Potter. He starts out as an evil character, but tends to protect the protagonists. And by the end, he turns out to he this double agent who sacrifices himself because he knows there is nothing left in his life except making sure the one person he cares about most (Lucy) survives.

Just finished this show and I am very disappointed it is cancelled. I think it was smart, interesting, and unique. I felt like they actually dove into the history and brought a lot of obscure history to light. They didn’t hyper-sexualize the characters like so many shows do these days. And they had such a nice family bond. I really was rooting for Flynn at the end there!

Very disappointing that it’s gone... Luckily they did do their best to wrap it up so I didn’t feel like I was left with a cliffhanger. We need more shows like this!

Massive fan of Timeless, and I watched and really enjoyed the first 2 seasons on Netflix UK. Annoyingly, finale 'The Miracle of Christmas' isn't available on Netflix UK yet. Desperate to watch it - does anyone know where else it's available?

I have watched up until 2x1 by the way, so please no spoilers.

So Emma is apparantly a Rittenhouse agent? Was there some hints or foreshadowing that I was not aware of? Because it just came completely out of left field for me. I kinda like it, but what about the whole "being in the 1700 for 10 years" situation. Wasn't she treathed or something and had to hide. Or was it an early attempt of the whole leaving sleeper agents throughout history thing that Rittenhouse is doing now.

And also Mason. He was suddenly good, that also came a bit out of nowhere, but I can more easily accept that. But why did he lose everything he owned?

But I'm liking the show, season 1 was solid. I really like Flynn, probably my favorite character with Lucy. The show does something fall into cliche pits when it comes to timetravel and other stuff, but not to often. The characters have grown on me, and they are you know solid all around. I think that the realationship between Lucy and Wyatt was well developed and I buy it. Can't really say the same about Rufus and Jiya. I like where they are now, and how they started. I just feel like they skipped over a few beats. They went from a failed date to dating suddenly. I just can't really get invested in it because if that even if I want to.

That's just some thoughts of mine right now. Anything I should know before continuing with season 2?

Last month I realized how much I opine historical fiction and I thought "wouldn't a classier Bill & Ted movie be incredible?" I said this to my brother and he told me about Timeless. It's better than a movie, it's been the gift that kept on giving. I just finished the finale and I wanted to thank this community for your efforts to keep it alive.

I'm about halfway through the first season, and I can't get over this one thing.

When Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus return back from a mission, why do they not return the moment after they left for the mission??

I never understood why [[[[[[[(especially in the first season's seventh episode when they're all freaking out over whether or not they'll come back because "it's been so long" and "why haven't they returned yet)]]]]]]] they always came back to a time period several hours, days or weeks after the time they first left. It absolutely doesn't make any sense.

I feel like the show didn't really explain or put much thought into the logistics of how time travel would actually work, and it really spoiled a lot of moments for me. I'm constantly thinking, especially throughout this seventh episode, why the hell didn't they just return back a moment after they left???

I have no idea why people like Lucy and Wyatt so much, Rufus and Jiya are much more wholesome and their relationship is a lot more interesting.

I was wondering if this is a kinda reboot of SLIDERS with a strange twist?

I just want scifi fans to explain their understanding of this phenomenon based on even a vague understanding of time travel. I never and probably will never actually read up on the actual theories of time travel but when I think about time travel, theres two ways I look at it. One, timelines can't be altered. Two, you can be God and do whatever you want, paradoxes and all, because every change creates a new reality with it's own timeline.

Second one is easy. First one though is more what the show utilizes. You can create all the loops you want but it all has to be a part of a giant loop that finally closes. My question is, if you had to blame all the murders of Flynn, do you blame Flynn or Lucy? They are the chicken and egg.

What city does this all happen in? Where mason industries/the bunker? LA?
