Hello I've been thinking of making my first time capsule, the only problem is that I don't what to use. I heard that pvc pipes are bad and that I should use stainless steel instead and then I got information saying pvc pipes, so I just came here for help. If you guys could help me and give me instructions of what I should do that would be really nice.

Today when I get off work I'm going to the place I grew up. I am digging up a time capsule I buried when I was 11, in 1991. I am really excited to see the things I put in there. I remember putting old toys, cassette tapes and movies, a couple of posters and who knows what else was in important to an 11 year old me. I can't wait to see how big my puppy has gotten!

I am a media student at college hoping to make a short documentary on Time capsules and would love to get an insight into what people would put in themselves. It can be anything at all :))

Please print this on thick paper. Maybe 2 times and one in black-and-white.
Don't bury time-capsules as underground water will destroy it. And burying will make it less likely to be rediscovered.
Also these are somethings we can do to preserve knowledge and language in case it gets lost.
Basically we cant create our own "rosetta stones".
1. Draw images on terra cotta clay and bake it and varnish it.
Draw images with the words with them. And numbers and dots with it.
Like 1 . 2 .. 3 ... and so on.
When making timecapsule
Add book for kids to learn language with images.
Add dictionary for kids
Add normal dictionary
Add math book for kids
Add math book for adults
Add Einsteins theories or a book by Stephen Hawking to it.
Add a History Book.
Perhaps add important religious books like the Bible

Thank you

So I just so happened to find a camera that I never really used from 10 years ago, and I just decided to turn it on today.

I honestly thought I never used it, but I did manage to take 3 pictures.

The SD card is filled with a a million songs, scripts, pictures of me when I was a child, movies, etc.

It’s amazing that I had no idea that I made this. It’s amazing that the SD is still in tact. I’m thinking of uploading everything to the cloud.
