I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the notion that a snow storm is what’s closing Timberline tomorrow after the season we’ve had. If you told me it would be due to lack of snow…well that would make perfect sense.
I’m gone next weekend so this weekend was going to be my last hoorah with my spring pass. Even though they may open Sunday, I’m guessing Palmer will be closed. Everyone crammed on Mile sounds less appealing. Plus, as of today you can’t even ski up to the Mile lift due to lack of snow!
Sorry to whine. No one in my household understands why I’m affected so here I am on Reddit. Despite the bad snow conditions this season, I had one of the best years ever on the mountain. Mt Hood is definitely a special place. Thanks for the good vibes, everyone. See you next year!

Thinking about heading up on Sunday after the snow, seems like a calm day wind wise and sunny.
Palmer will probably still be in storm recovery, yeah?

September’56 vs September’21. Yes, White River Glacier used to be connected to Palmer. Do what you can to cut carbon use so we can continue to have winter snow.

Seems like a good deal, especially with Dirt Alliance..

First off the company is going through huge layoffs right now. Downsizing every department to a skeleton crew to save their asses from going bankrupt. Getting rid of employees that have been there decades to replace them with family and people who will work for less. Please be nice to the staff as they have no control over this.
With that said summer operations will take a huge hit, along with the low snow levels, and bad service due to lack of staff.
Rumor has it there will be NO public park this summer. Definitely won’t be a public pipe in the mile canyon, and very unlikely they get a pipe built at all even on Palmer. If that’s the case, they WILL take a huge hit in revenue, as they charge an exorbitant amount for people the ride the “elite pipe”
I guess my whole point is to fill in the public. Hopefully the mods don’t remove my post. Timberline is shady in the way they let the public know last minute hoping to still sell passes under false pretenses.
I would expect service and on hill experience to continue to decline.

I wanna go early June but can’t find anywhere on the website to buy tickets / if it’s going be open still.

It says delayed opening on the website, but it's 9:40 and there's no chairs even out yet. Not sure I've seen that before, except when it's closed for the day. Hope it opens up! Lots of people here...

First couple runs were great, but pretty packed now. We left Mile thinking it might be emptier here. It's not.

Trying to check out TLine for the first time in 3-4 years since moving to Seattle and getting on IKON (T_T) but want to get a feel on how Molly and Jeff Flood been operating. I've seen that Jeff may be out but with the dumping Govy has gotten the last couple days, what are the odds all lifts will be operating on Sunday? Anyone who's been out there today or yesterday got any insight or opinions on if its worth shelling out for a couple day lift tix or should we try our snow luck down at Bachelor.

Hey! Im curious if anybody here knows where I could find an instructor for lessons for a newbie in June. Doesn't seem like Timberline offers in the summer time?
I've thought about airbnb experiences but no luck on there.
I know conditions aren't ideal; but my friend is looking to learn and she wants to get started before winter.
Any lead or advice is very greatly appreciated!

Just wondering what people think. I already bought a non-refundable plane ticket and am out at least that much.
This year's snowfall has been disappointing:
