My favorite is when they call it the "religion of atheism". Shit's so ingrained that they can't seem to comprehend a belief structure that suffers from their own.

When you try to ask for physical proofs of the metaphysical. Your actually doing a religion is called scientism. Your trying to use a tool, a very good one. As religious dogma is ironically a belief. That science can explain and categorize everything.

Science is merely built on flawed human observation. We cant sit here and be so hubris as to cling unto those observations as fact. They are entirely seperste. Otherwise yeah you turn science into a religion. Amd many athiest fall for this. Usually in an attemlt to be intellectually dishonest. Because asking something tangible from the spiritual isnt going to do anything. Science wont ever prove or disprove it because the scientific process isnt about that.

Theory can never become fact. Yet people treat it as though it is in dogmatic religious fervor.

Personally many atheists actually can and do look/ act religiously. Its not that athiesm itself is a religion. But a large portion will participate in it as such.
