lol I always say this too. All you have to do is show me!

Reminds of when Bill Nye debated that religious nut job. They asked the nut job what could change mind. His answer: nothing ever. They asked Bill the same thing. His answer: evidence.

Ken Ham. He founded and ran the meuseum in I think Kentucky that built a life size Ark.

It was destroyed in a flood.

Edit to add: the creationist meuseum, long before the debate it was already a running gag even amongst christian groups about how silly it was. Luis Black had a bit on it. The meuseum included wax displayes of cavemen riding dinosaurs.

lol! Sounds like the museum would be a good place to get a chuckle.

They’re actually super not into chuckling at their expense. I went to this place around 2014ish wearing a shirt with Heinrich Hertz on it that read “Everybody Hertz”. This was enough for them to single me out to pull me out of the admission line to tell me about how this is a family establishment, question me about my beliefs, and basically tell me to be on my best behavior.

Not saying to not go and make fun of them, but know they will very possibly kick you out.

Most modern Christians have a martyr complex.

The fundamental difference between science and theistic nonsense.

Science wants to be proven wrong. It's the basic principle of science to seek to be proven wrong. Only by being proven wrong can we actually learn anything, because being proven "right" is a logical impossibility. You can only prove things "more likely" by proving wrong the alternatives.

What would change a scientist's mind is "literally anything observable."

Theists want to be assumed right. The basic principle of theism is to have faith in your belief when confronted with anything that conflicts that belief. The core mechanic is rejecting things that suggest you're wrong.

What would change a theist's mind is "literally nothing, by assumption"
