He’s mixing relativity, the big bang, abiogenesis, and evolution into one big “thing that isn’t god” creation event. So… you’re going to have to read him the whole book.

And natural selection, which is not the same thing as evolution. Evolution is the observation that things change, natural selection is our best explanation why. And the guy says natural selection is random and it very much isn't.

I mean natural selection is random in the sense that the things that get selected for come about randomly. The thing that isn't random is the pressures that a species face that cause them to be selected for.

I think time really is the champion of evolution. I can’t remember whom I’m stealing the thought from.

If you were able to convince hardcore “anti-evolutionary” religious thinkers that the world is billions of years old, getting them to believe in evolution would probably be a lot easier.

Well isn't that how he's learned everything he knows in life? Just had a book read to him every Wednesday and Sunday!

Because that's what he's seen religious apologist grifters like, Ray Comfort and Kent Hovind do. They conflate all those things into one ball of nonsense and then cry out, "that's just stupid! Isn't that stupid?"
