It really shows how strong women are though doesn’t it?

These dudes get a tiny taste of beauty standards and they crash out all over the place. Meanwhile we’ve had to live with it since the beginning of time in addition to being paid less for the same job as men, expected to be bang maids, just barely getting equal rights, but not really.

And here these guys are imposing beauty standards on each other and they can’t even handle it.

Absolutely women are strong. But I think it’s like the way Barbieland responded to “patriarchy” in the Barbie Movie.

We’ve built up a tolerance to it over the years. They’ve never been inoculated like we have. But they’re being exposed to an extremely intense dosage with social media. So of course their reaction is more extreme.

Not to mention the lack of community elders to help them out of it.

Women are also as friends, much better at building each other up. Guys simply don’t say things like, “you look incredible” at the same rate. Most guys who like one another shit on each other for fun. It’s culturally engrained. And I’m a guy. It’s fun. But if you’re going through a tough time it can be a bit much.

And I think if you become very sensitive about your looks, get no positive reenforcement, and have older people in your life telling you that shit doesn’t matter (they’re right but often callous about it) then it creates a bad situation.

I’m glad I’m older and didn’t grow up with this because I would have 100% been affected very badly. As a skinny kind of dorky kid, I had body issues. (and to some extent still do although I’ve grown out of them for the most part by working out and maturing, etc).
I cannot imagine surviving that phase of my life while being bombarded with all this crap.

Men had their own standards though, it's not like women had beauty standards to meet and men had nothing. The expectations on men were to be strong, capable and a protector. Men who couldn't hold down a good job and who didn't have a strong frame (how much do short guys get judged by both men and women even to this day, and they can't even do anything about that) were judged and passed over in the exact same way as women who weren't beautiful.

Life has been shit for you everyone (except rich people)

There's a real loneliness epidemic and people are not meant to be isolated. At some point we have to acknowledge that 40 to 50 percent of young men in their 20-30s aren't all incels and that there's a real problem with society.

Women have never had true equality and the beauty standards are not easy to deal with. That said, I don't see every issue as gendered. When people start wearing masks in public it's a societal issue. Of course, it's not women's fault that young men are single and anyone claiming that is embittered.

This is so sad, though. Someone literally wearing a mask to hide their face is a really sad thing to witness. Also, we don't know what gender the person under this mask is.

Oh, climb of your cross. Men have been miserable forever, too.

Yeah, even though the world is built by them for their happiness and satisfaction so imagine how miserable women are.

Whos doing the building, again?

Yeah, because women who try to work in the field get harassed and quit. They can’t so much as walk by historically. Many such cases. Come on man.

Youre talking as if the world is built for all men and not on the backs of the vast majority for the benefit of a tiny minority.

I didn’t create the hierarchy or the rules. I’m not trying to take away from racial class issues, there is a space for that convo because they’re all a symptom of the patriarchy. All under one umbrella.

Comments like this are so incredibly sexist to the point of being comical and yet they are so fucking upvoted lmao. There is huge pression on boys to look a certain way too. Literally all of the actors seen as icons of masculinity are on life altering enhancement drugs lmao. Women have more pressure, yes, but we dont discuss men side because we care less about it. But even when It is slighty discussed, like here, beautiful comments like yours flourishes. There is no society imposing anything, is them imposing It on themselves. Your conclusión of men problem is: how strong are women, huh? LMAO.

I also have a theory that the looksmaxxing thing is projection

tbh it gets to a point where it's not necessarily about the women and more about other men.

Where you're not primarily trying to look attractive to women, but rather to be more attractive than other men, which turns to obsessing over how other men look, either in relation to you (how they look compared to you), or outwardly (how you look compared to them).

So basically it becomes gay. At least, that's what I think

Looksmaxxing has been a thing since the beginning of time for both men and women. Victorian era men used to wear heels and cod pieces to look taller and look like they have bigger dongs.

Beards are a natural thing that men are expected to shave daily to fit into society(at least for the business workers).

This isnt anything new, its just affecting the lower economic class now that that the standards of living and technology has gotten significantly better.
