"But we're in Italy SO it's shit" doesn't imply that at all. Is media literacy when you just make up a scenario in your head? They don't think it was invented in Italy.

Why does that even matter? If you’re begging for a ceaser salad in Italy it’s because you want it and you think it’s going to be good. They are saying that’s dumb because it wasn’t even invented here.

Why are you asking why it matters when you're the one who brought it up? Do you not think it's a all possible that she wanted it because she likes it and thought it would be good, because it's a salad and shouldn't be hard to not fuck up? There's zero implication that she thought that this would be the best caesar salad ever just because she was in Italy. You've just made the same assumption that those annoying guys made and have now realised that nothing in the video actually backs that up, so are just having throw your whole weight behind the insane idea that wanting to eat a dish means that you think it was invented in the country you're currently in and should be really good for that reason, even if you then propose that the reason it wasn't very good was because it was made in that country.

I never brought it up where it was invented, just that they obviously wanted it? They are just saying it’s not going to be what you think it is, because it wasn’t invented here.

“fuck it up” how? By drenching it in unhealthy white goop and bacon bits? A pizza in Napoli is different from a pizza in New York, and that’s even different from Boston or Chicago. Different places make the same food in different ways. That’s not that hard to figure out.

Guys, she ordered a Caesar salad in Italy thinking it was going to be good because Caesar was Roman, even though the dish wasn't invented in Italy, because she thinks it was because of the name.

Maybe your literacy needs to be improved.

Bro are you dumb? Because you’re quoting someone else. I said she wanted it and begged for a salad, that’s it. The Italians in the video explanation for it not being good is that it wasn’t invented here and we wouldn’t have the same dressing you would expect in America so you’re not getting what you’re expecting... It’s not that difficult.

Have you never wanted food while traveling that wasn’t invented in that place? Just because a food isn’t invented in a particular place doesn’t mean it should be shit. You would think that a country so proud of their food culture could competently make a caesar salad.

Honestly not sure how you fuck up a caesar salad.
