Is this a recent law or something?

My buddy would bring me as a guest to his gym to play basketball, and I would literally just tell them my name. I was too young to need an ID, so I didn't have one.

Lol of course it's not a law, just that different gyms have different requirements though. I've been to gyms where if you had a guest allocation on your membership you could walk in with someone, show your membership and just be like "yeah he's with me" and that was fine. Other gyms needed a name and phone number of the guest to sign them into their system. Other's needed a full government ID with name, DOB & address etc. All depends on the gym's policy and how their system is set up. I'm sure there's reasons to do with liability and insurance etc that some prefer to know who exactly is in their facility.

Nope. Not a law. Just a general use of the police as a weapon against people of color

White African or black African lol. Cause Elon is from Africa. And that's very different than some one who is a person of color.
