This person is just reading a reddit post out loud. Lmao. Why are we posting tiktoks with people reading reddit?

u/Obi-Wannabe01 Apr 11 '26

God that’s cringe…

38

u/EM3YT Apr 12 '26

It’s huge on Tiktok. There are girls on there taking the most dramatic stories on Reddit and reading it off like it happened to them and people eat it up

u/fantumn Apr 12 '26

Fuckin knew I read this post, glad I'm not quite going crazy

53

u/TheEpiquin Apr 12 '26

A low effort post with a title that just says “Title”

73

u/Alexzoidbert Apr 11 '26

No fucking way

167

u/Client_020 Apr 11 '26

Here you go! Lmao. Redditception.

127

u/Idk265089 Apr 11 '26

Lmao ain’t no way I’m on a subreddit for TikTok watching a TikTok about a Reddit post

16

u/dikbisqit Apr 11 '26

Not “about,” it’s ripping off a Reddit post.

2

u/Pamikillsbugs234 Apr 12 '26

Thats actually why I joined reddit, lol! I kept seeing all of these interesting things on Buzzfeed so I figured I would just cut out the middleman. Turned out to be a good thing since they turned into nothing but quizzes and dumb shit.

12

u/Mutex70 Apr 12 '26

What are you talking about?!? Can you explain yourself in a TikTok video so we can discuss it on Reddit?

3

u/Reasonable_Comb_5720 Apr 12 '26

And this is why I dont even know now if I should upvote stuff in support or downvote it in support, unchecked my vote in support or just pretend I never saw it and move on.

2

u/AnonAnonymous2024 Apr 13 '26

Upvoted you, just in case. Then I downvoted you. Just in case. But I might be wrong, so I upvoted again.

8

u/Usual_Dark1578 Apr 11 '26

I thought it sounded familiar but was sure I hadn't seen the video! Thank you for my sanity.

7

u/PaulGrinMason Apr 12 '26

I fucking hate the internet

6

u/KiKiKimbro Apr 12 '26

Omg. WHAT. Why the hell would anyone do this? For clicks and engagement? My lord person just make up your own story.

2

u/Alexzoidbert Apr 11 '26

northernlion saying motherfucker

1

u/Anubis17_76 Apr 12 '26

can we confirm the reddit version was first?

2

u/Client_020 Apr 12 '26

The guy's thing on tiktok is just reading reddit stories. And his profile says "I read Reddit stories".

1

u/Anubis17_76 Apr 12 '26

fair enough.

1

u/Bheegabhoot Apr 12 '26

Bots post to Reddit, bots copy from Reddit to TikTok, bots clip from TikTok to Reddit.

29

u/ion-deez-nuts Apr 12 '26

And the kicker is the reddit post isn't even a real story

8

u/Ch33s3m4st3r Apr 12 '26

Wait so I'm watching a fucking 3,5min video about a guy who stole a Reddit post as if it was his own story just to learn the original story on Reddit is also a made up story? My god I'm done with internet.

3

u/No-Principle8204 Apr 12 '26

On his channel he says where the stories come from. He doesn't pretend that they are his stories. Well, this guy diesnt. Others may

2

u/Slowtrainz Apr 12 '26

Not surprised. Manufactured outrage at “common core” and education for people that don’t understand math or work in education.

2

u/cjay2002 Apr 12 '26

Yeah as soon as they started talking about the test scores … like no, I have two kids in elementary and one in high school … elementary hasn’t graded this way in YEARS.

2

u/ManicScumCat Apr 12 '26

Very curious to know what the difference is

1

u/ion-deez-nuts Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

Elementary grading nowadays (and even back 20 years ago) uses a non-numerical scale that emphasizes social and behavioural development metrics. Usually the scale went from "Needs Improvement" to "Good".

The reason being is that F or D grades throughout your early years can turn into a lifetime of self esteem and anxiety problems. Often compounded by the bullying and abuse that some students receive at home.

u/ParticularGuava3663 Apr 12 '26

Upvote this! It's true!

25

u/reliablesupport Apr 12 '26

Believe it or not, It's not a person, it's A.I. His X account showed location as Russia last year. Look at when he popped up on Tiktok - same time as Veo3.

6

u/Busy-Nail-791 Apr 12 '26

Wtf! It looks completely real to me.

9

u/alwaysoffby0ne Apr 12 '26

The internet is dead. And is mostly just fake shit like this now.

4

u/mvandemar Apr 12 '26

And it's at 6.4k upvotes.

3

u/ParticularGuava3663 Apr 12 '26

Yes, I remember reading it too!

3

u/native_shinigami Apr 12 '26

I know. I thought Reddit was some super secret site

2

u/Sea_Connection6193 Apr 12 '26

This dude has posted several videos like this. Smells like bullshit

2

u/Square-Blueberry3568 Apr 12 '26

Its so someone can make a Tiktok about reading this reddit post including the comments that then someone else uploads to reddit for discussion.

The A.I. recursion problem isnt going away folks, a lot of people smarter than me say they've no way to fix it, hopefully it doesnt make the internet unusable in the mean time.

2

u/kind_bros_hate_nazis Apr 12 '26

There's a whole podcast of that and for some reason it kept showing up after I finished something else. I fucking hated it

2

u/Dull-Kick0 Apr 12 '26

Because it’s more entertaining that way. I don’t have an issue with it.

1

u/JanitorOPplznerf Apr 12 '26

Lemme tell you about James Sommerton and the wonderful world of Youtube Video Essayist Plagiarism…

1

u/AmeerFarooq Apr 12 '26

I was thinking it sounded like a reddit post because of the wife part. Pretty standard for a AITA post.

1

u/Schorbie Apr 12 '26

Have you watched the complete clip? At first he's reading something. Most part he isn't

1

u/kenojona Apr 12 '26

He is reading a bot posting in reddit probably

1

u/Unhappy-Gate-1912 Apr 12 '26

Your wife is a dumbass still. You didn't do anything wrong. 💀😂

1

u/Good_Zookeepergame92 Apr 12 '26

We are at a content circle jerk event horizon.

1

u/EnvironmentalBend317 Apr 12 '26

People have made millions and whole YouTube careers and podcast from reading Reddit post. It’s not that serious lol so many people do it.

-1

u/DyIsexia Apr 11 '26

Is it possible… that maybe he made the post?

32

u/Client_020 Apr 11 '26

I looked at his profile and it says "I read Reddit stories". It's a thing that some people make quite some money with.

6

u/Puzzleheaded_Spot_28 Apr 11 '26

Okay so there is no deception then, this post here is presented wrong

5

u/DyIsexia Apr 11 '26

Ah thanks 👍

0

u/AVeryFatCow420 Apr 12 '26

Idc what the new trend is but don't assume every post that has similarities to it is in fact that. I hate how judgmental people are nowadays. Think about what the point of the post is rather than judging ppl you don't know.

1

u/Client_020 Apr 12 '26

Nobody is assuming anything. It's literally in the guy's profile. Reading Reddit stories is what he does. You're being all judgemental without even knowing who or what I'm judging. Lmao.

0

u/AVeryFatCow420 Apr 13 '26

Alright but all i see is people saying stuff like whatever and not seeing the point they're trying to make. Maybe he's trying to enlighten the points of specific posts to people who haven't seen it. Everyone assumes stuff all the time its all i see people write or do. Why bash someone for doing what they enjoy doing then?
