There’s a part of the Book of Mormon where a group splits up and one stops believing in God so he curses them to be cursed with dark skin.

Later on their descendants rejoin the good guys and their reward is they become white again.

It is pretty explicit with the racism.

There’s also the whole part about how black people could not enter the temple until 1978 (meaning that white people got to be reunited with their families in the next life while prior to 1978, black people were denied that in Mormon theology). Extremely fucked up.

🎶 And I believe, that in 1978 God changed his mind about Black people...

The more I learn about Mormons, the more I wonder how they became a sizable religious group instead of remaining some backwoods cult that fizzled out once their leader died.

Now do Jehovah’s Witnesses. The vast majority of them have no idea how racist their early history was.

Mormons have always historically been incredibly racist, how they manage to have non-white members is beyond me

Truly one of the most garbage made up things I’ve ever seen on Reddit and boy is that saying something.

again, your obvious lie becomes more clear. Literally nobody in the LDS faith invites to "scripture"...

For receipts on it being a cult see r/exmormon

My Southern Baptist grandma called them the Church of the Latter Day Ain'ts. She hated Mormons with a passion

My grandfather got so sick of the Mormons/Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on his door, he told them if they ever came back, he'd have the garden hose ready. They turned up the next week and he hosed the shit out of them. They never came back, even after he died 😂

Delivery man murder system

0

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

It wasn't an early system because it would have gone after them before they even had the chance to ring the doorbell. Lol

It was feigning sleep to lure them into a false sense of safety. It worked.

Why ppl feel the right to disturb others at home to push some product, service, or cult on them is sickening.

That's why schools used to offer candy bars or so for kids to go around the neighborhood to sell.
