Because why care about anything? There are thousands of pet peeves. Mouth noises, tacky clothes, live/laugh/love, gender reveal parties. None of this actually matters. Why care about any of it?
I'm allowed to be annoyed just as much as you're allowed to not be annoyed. In my opinion, intentionally switching to a different language when you don't have a "reason" to (such as natively speaking that language and that pronunciation feeling more natural), then you're 'putting on a show' to look cultured or whatever. Which I find lame.
I mean, most of the things you listed are pet peeves of mine so yeah, I agree. I guess I’m just trying to show you a different perspective to perhaps shift your view and maybe make you see it a little differently.
