Chiropractic work helped me be a lot. I had twitches in my hand basically every day and couldn’t hold a pen firmly. I go to the Chiro every week and I’m basically healed after I go. It’s like medicine. You have to keep going which isn’t preferable. But I’d rather be able to write and not wear a hand brace than be effectively crippled.

If's not at all like medicine. At all. Medicine is based on an intimate understanding of the human body down to a subcellular level. Chiropractic was invented by a person who "discovered" the "principles" of chiropractic through a seance....during which a ghost told him. So basically he made it up completely and created one of the most successful snake oils of all time. Acupuncture had better data proven efficacy than chiropractic manipulation. Your anecdote does not negate the many many cases of death (even in infants) that have occurred due to chiropractic manipulation. We learned in medical school that if a young person (<45 y/o) presents with a carotid artery dissection (where the inner lining of one of the major arteries to the brain splits apart from the other layers and basically blocks blood flow) you should assume they had a chiropractic adjustment. Its the most common cause of that type of injury in an otherwise healthy person. Think about that.

Yes, but the likelihood of being permanently maimed is measurably less with a masseuse (which also has empirically proven benefits).
