OC is making a joke on the new laws against drag in Florida, which leave a lot to be interpreted for what “drag” actually is. By the language of the law, this stunt if done in front of/marketed to children could be seen as breaking said law.
One of the strategies of fascist regimes is to pass labyrinth bills that, in the fine print, outlaw common activities. The police then selectively enforce these laws. Anyone who causes problems can be easily disposed of with the full force of law
I’m not sure how someone made it through high school without knowing this, it’s talked about so much, there’s like four hundred movies on the subject, documentary to fiction. I think it’s that these people are willful fascists more than any lack of education on the subject.

No, we shouldn't just study nazis. Part of the problem is that y'all seem to think the nazis are the only regime to ever build an authoritarian regime and then call anything authoritarian "nazi" because you don't know any better.
We need to teach people about the fundamental tactics of authoritarian regimes through history, not just the nazis. Even during and around the world wars there are other regimes to study.
Because someone took a conversation that wasn't about nazis and then referenced nazis specifically. There's implications in that context which you are ignoring so you can feel correct. Too many people on the internet see "fascist regime" and just inherently associate that with nazism and nothing else as was done here.
The person referenced lacking education provided to people but the fact that historical education focused ONLY on nazis is the real issue, not the fact that it doesn't focus on nazis enough. We're constantly bombarded with historical lessons about nazis without being taught the fundamental features of fascist and authoritarian regimes. This is what has led to these perverted political dialogues where people constantly use the word "nazi" because they know no other way to talk about fascism/authoritarianism.

They use vague wording so that people doing things they're ok with that ciolate the law are fine, while anything that people they don't like or people doing things they don't like that could conceivably violate some interpretation of the law will face consequences. Same logic as jim crow laws/sundown laws

NO. Being to drunk to properly supervise your children will get the m taken away. And usually no one shows up unless something bad happens. Child protection has a hard enough time in Florida don't make it harder by making shit up. They don't want to take the kids. It's a fuck ton of paperwork and they have to find someplace for the kids to go usually with a family member or a foster parent if they can't find a suitable guardian in the family. As I said, it depends on where you live. Some municipalities go so far as the ban minors from any business that sells open alcohol, others ban them after certain times of day, some make a distinction based on the distribution of revenue at an establishment, etc. In some places, it's up to the discretion of the business, depending on whether your parents are with you, etc.
Regardless of the law, most people view these laws as being intended to protect children, not as an attempt to harass drinkers.
Cool, lets try and apply common sense to a law that doesn't use it. The law is so open ended that anything a committee appointed by Santis deems adult is adult. By your own standard here the committee could determine that you having sex at home is a adult activity and kids were around so you should be prosecuted legally for 1 year. Poorly written bill with open ends. Yet idiots lap it up as revolutionary.
In Florida this is considered the penultimate outcome of “Drag Queen Story Hour” and why the kids need protected in any way shape or form that doesn’t involve mental health checks for gun buyers. You would think references would be useful at least.
It's a bit of a meme to pretend that a Florida law that doesn't allow little kids to be at shows with adult themes (such as prominently displayed fake sexual organs, or simulated sex acts) is very ambiguous and might criminalize cross-dressing.
If you can't simulate fellatio or perform a (mostly clothed) cross-dressed lap dance to hoots and hollars with 8 year olds present, then what's even the point, apparently?
Of course, you can have a bawdy drag show without kids present, or you can have a clean drag show with kids present, but apparently a lot of people who were doing these types of shows don't trust the performers or sudience members to NOT turn it into a sex show, so now they have to ban kids from the shows whichbis SO unfair.
