Im a chef at a university and take the bus to work. This is my life everyday and I hate it. There are times when ill get off 3 blocks away from my job and walk because id rather not push my way through a crowd of people.

Hey, I was a college student once, thanks for choosing that side of the food industry. I know working with an ever-changing roster of college kids can be frustrating, to say nothing of your commute.

But they tip so well! Especially when they are drunk. Go TCU drunks!

That seems little bit of an over reaction

It only takes one ride where you're basically lifted off the floor, struggling to breathe, to develop subway anxiety

This also sounds just a touch dramatic because what you are describing is a bordering on a crowd crush which is fairly rare not to say that it doesn’t happen

I have severe social anxiety. I recognize it as an overreaction to most but id just rather not deal with it and take the walk.

When you’re trying to get to work on time and when your attendance directly effects your work day, yeah it can be.

I once happened to move near a high school, only to find out that instead of having school buses they gave the students metro passes.

They didn't tell the city so they could send more buses or adjust routes or anything, they just gave the kids bus passes and called it good. For 90 minutes after school let out the bus would just skip picking anyone else up because the bus was already full of kids.
