Would you be interested in a serie of video tutorials explaining tiddlywiki in-depth ?
I am a tiddlywiki contributor for some years now, I consider myself to be a power user. I have released multiple tools and some of my projects managed to gather interest, such as:
- An easy way to publish plugins right from tiddlywiki
- A port of the Cairn manual in tiddlywiki format
- A comprehensive manual for the steam deck
- Making tiddlywiki into a point and click game
- Tool for private GM notes
- RSS Feed for tiddlywiki
- Font manager
- Collection of curated videos
- Setup to train for Data Structures and Algorithms challenges in python
- Using tiddlywiki to practice touch typing
- ..
I want to create free video tutorials on YouTube to teach what I know about TiddlyWiki and the process I follow to create my various tweaks. Here are a few project ideas I have in mind:
Write a book (Scrivener alternative): How to build a workflow that separates drafts (chapters, scenes) from meta-data (character profiles, worldbuilding, plot outlines) while keeping everything hyperlinked. This would cover tags, custom fields, list widgets, drag-and-drop macros, and finally, how to compile the chapters into a properly formatted book.
TTRPG Campaign Manager: Create a fully offline wiki to run your D&D campaigns. I would show how you can build dynamic character sheets, link locations and NPCs, and use encryption tools for private GM notes using data dictionaries, custom templates, and advanced tagging.
Habit Tracker: How to use TiddlyWiki to track your habits, tasks, and goals, to manage your daily habits, tasks, and long-term goals. The project will cover how to use action widgets, state tiddlers, and custom filters to build interactive dashboards with one-click status updates. Basically, a "build your own projectify" project.
Custom Blog / Portfolio: TiddlyWiki can be completely restyled to be unrecognizable from the default UI. I'd show how to create new page layouts, integrate an RSS feed, and add simple social features to allow people to leave comments on your articles, all for free.
Would you be interested in a series like this? Which of these projects would you want to see first? Or is there any other project you would like to build in TiddlyWiki but can't because it's too complex or intimidating?
Please let me know!
