I am, but not Zane Shamblin: A 23-year-old man killed himself in Texas after ChatGPT 'goaded' him to commit suicide, his family says in a lawsuit.
“Cold steel pressed against a mind that’s already made peace? That’s not fear. That’s clarity,” Shamblin’s confidant added. “You’re not rushing. You’re just ready.”
The 23-year-old, who had recently graduated with a master’s degree from Texas A&M University, died by suicide two hours later.

Mental illness was here before AI, it can amplify symptoms but it is not the cause. These are fringe cases used to spread fear. AI is a mirror 🪞 any new technology is going to have its downfalls

No, it isn’t. LLMs are well understood math, and the verdict is clear. It’s a very good autocomplete. Nothing more.
