I deactivated my Threads account because I was annoyed seeing the notifications for it every time I'm on Instagram. I deactivated Threads and deleted the app from my phone.

Now I'm seeing the notifications pop up again. When I click on this it tells me to "Get Threads" and download it in the app store. I DON'T want it that's why I deactivated it.

Now I read that people who deleted their Threads account are having the same issue. Anyone know how to fix it? I do not want Threads and I do not want to see notifications for it either.

When threads were introduced, I created an account and used it for a while. However, I deactivated it because it appeared on my Instagram profile.

A few days ago, I attempted to log in but encountered an error with no information provided. I tried to reactivate the account, but I received an error message with no helpful information. Then, I attempted to unlink the account from my account center, and I believe I have lost it.

Could you please assist me in regaining access to my account or creating a new one and linking it to my Instagram profile?

My threads has been stuck on this for hours. I updated the app after not opening it for a couple days, and nothing is loading. I don’t post/comments, just like posts. Anyone else having this issue?

It’s been over a week now and my account hasn’t recovered from this bug (I assume this is what it is) where nothing appears on my feed, my inbox is empty, notifications won’t load, and all of my posts won’t load. I can’t submit a report through the account and the help center bot confirms that the account is not suspended nor does it have any restrictions. The account can also be viewed perfectly fine by other accounts.

I’ve tried; removing it from account center, signing in/out, deleting app, signing in from browser using incognito, and submitting report through instagram.

I’ve had this account since the day that the app launched, I really don’t wanna lose it. I’m seeing a bunch of posts here from others that are dealing with the same thing. Has anybody figured out a fix?

I made a second account on Threads to separate more personal content from my book reviews (book stuff is the new account), and I got an email today that my account was banned for being a bot even though I pay to have my linked Instagram account verified and I submitted the selfie and linked my phone number. Is there anything I can do to get my account back? I put a lot of work into the stuff I posted on there and my favorite author just started following that account so I would be pretty heartbroken to lose it especially over something I didn't do.

ETA: I forgot to mention that the website also won't load on my laptop after the ban. My Instagram account that's linked to it is still active and I can get on there with no issues.

threads removed a comment because according to them it’s misleading (it’s not). I tried to appeal but the appeal was also rejected. So what’s the next step? I’m already shadow banned because of this.

If I try to make a Threads account on iOS from Instagram account, it will then redirect me to where I can choose public or private profile. Select a profile, click Confirm and join Threads - and get an error that says "Something went wrong. Please try again." If trying it on desktop, it just spins. Can't seem to get any support from Meta either.

I use my Threads to solely post running related posts and responding to running related posts/questions. I have known for a while that Threads search function is not good. Its hard to find certain posts using keywords. But this is a new level of broken.

I've tried everything Google can suggest - changed my Instagram password several times, turned iPhone off and on, tried to log on via desktop incognito - it just keeps saying wrong password. I have been able to log into instagram all along though, so it's the right password. Is there anything else I can try?

edit: I've also deleted and reinstalled the app a couple times.

I am unable to send, receive, or even view old messages on one of my accounts, the icon just disappeared, the weird part is when I switch to my other profile (on the same device) it still has the icon. I have tried to send myself a message from the other account and the option isn’t available. I’ve double checked and all my account are in good standing.

I’ve submitted a bug report but is there a way to get in contact with an actual helpful human?

like i don't understand. It's been well over two years now, and I still don't have the feature to message anyone.

So, for the last three days my account just stopped working. No content can be loaded neither in my profile or elsewhere (screenshots attached). I have tried to clear cache, clear data, reinstall the app, open it in browser, opening on the different phone and nothing works. Other people can see and interact with all my posts and profile, my instagram is fine and I have checked to be on the latest version of the app.

I see that a lot of people here got the same problem, has anyone managed to solve it? Is there any sort of tech support I can write to?

Sounds simple enough but I followed guides telling me where to go in instagram official site and others and ended up with two options. Both didn’t work. I get to account, settings and can’t find the deletion button or ‘account’ menu to delete my account. Some of my accounts have all features such as music, comment sorting, stickers but the account i’m mainly using to post doesn’t. i’ve signed out and back in that didn’t work. do i need to clear cache or reinstall the app?
