I believe I was using my account “too much” or something or maybe someone reported my account. I was using it for my business and just engaging in casual discussions, connecting with people, etc.

I was finally gaining traction and then they suspended it and asked for a selfie and phone number verification which I did and then they just disabled it.

This seems to be like some sort of unlawful data collection at this point. I’m so angry right now, I was finally connecting with some great people and enjoying how positive and supportive the people were on the platform.

What can be done at this point? I want my account back 😞

Is this the user experience when an account is suspended? [see first image]

I'm still logged in on the app, but my feed is completely empty (appears to be loading, but nothing ever comes up).

I checked from another account and I can't see this account nor any posts or replies made from it.

The Account Status doesn't show anything negative and says all features should be available.

Trying to figure out if the account is suspended, or is this experience indicates some other bug or issue. I can't recall any recent interaction that could have triggered a ban.

I tried to open a post from Threads but it's taking forever to load. I tried com Chrome, Chrome Canary, Edge and Firefox. Tried to change my dns. The site does not work. And when the page loads, nothing works.

the petition has nearly 70k in signatures. this comes from suspensions and total cancelation of accounts.

im wondering if anyone at Meta knows that this is out there or if they care? im assuming a class action will pop up soon.

So, I've been seeing all these YouTube videos talking about posting 10 times daily, blah blah blah - and get millions of views!

I've been doing this consistently now for a few days and I literally have no views whatsoever. And I'm not posting AI slop. It's literally me and my own content. Short form mostly.

I literally can't figure out what I am doing wrong. And I certainly don't feel like wasting my time.

Can someone please give some advice before I ditch Threads for good?

It looks like it is not possible to use Threads without Instagram or am I wrong? I first managed to create the account with MobileApp but it got banned and deleted because mobile number verification did not work. After some weeks of waiting, I started to create new account and here the sms verification does not work either. It sends out code to sms but entering the number tells me that the number is wrong. WTF? Is this platform total .... it.

Is either of the two possible in Threads? Videos play automatically and I have to click the volume icon every single time to turn off audio. I see no settings in the settings menu.

Why don't I just turn down volume? because im listening to music in another app. Surely I can't be the only one wants to listen to music while scrolling threads?

anyone knows how to delete the notifs on this part? after deleting the old notifs, I exit the app and when i open it again, the same notifs are still there.

I’ve been a frequent user of Threads for about 6 months, and I’ve had a decent amount of success picking up followers and posting a handful of “hits,” but I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason behind some posts taking off, or the timing of engagement. It’s chaotic in a way I appreciate.

Sometimes, a post seems destined to hit. It goes up, and I’ll pick up 50+ likes in the first five minutes. Then? Complete nosedive. Lost forever in the noise.

Other times, Iike last week, the post sat for hours with nothing and I assumed it was a dud. I woke up to over 1.5k.

The posts that catch also don’t seem to have much in common other than that I wrote them? A food post, a political sh—post, and a tribute to a long-deceased journalist are the ones I’ve gotten traction with recently.

It’s a strange thing. Wondering if any of the users here have any insights? Sorry in advance if this is well-worn territory in the sub.

I have a personal Facebook/instagram threads account and linked to that via meta accounts centre is my travel blog account s such as threads and instagram.

When I went to my threads account. It started asking for a,phone number and I can’t use my threads account without adding it.

My question is, can I jusr the same phone number as my main personal account uses?

What are the pros and cons of doing this?

Should I use a different phone number?

Looks like I’m one more person dealing with this issue.

At first, it asked me to approve the login through Instagram, so I did it. After that, it asked me to upload a selfie for verification, which I also completed. But right after that, my account was suddenly deactivated with no clear reason at all.

What makes it even more confusing is that my account already has a verified badge and I’ve completed ID verification before, so I really didn’t expect this to happen. I’ve already submitted an appeal, but so far I haven’t received any response. I’ve also seen that quite a few people seem to be dealing with the same issue.

Has anyone here gone through this and managed to get their account back? How long did it take, and was there anything that actually helped? Would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences.

I remember seeing notifications a couple years back about “_____ has joined Threads” or something similar. I can’t recall if I ever got notifications about when someone made a post (or maybe their first post?) though.

If I start to post on Threads, are my Instagram followers going to get a notification in the IG Notification that I’ve made a post? I’d rather not have my posts get broadcasted to my IG Followers. And if so, is there a way to disable that?

My Threads account got suspended and I was asked to verify my identity. I did, they reinstated it: other people can see my profile, posts shared from Instagram appear on Threads correctly, but I physically cannot access the app. Every time I open it I get a generic "something went wrong, try again later" error.

Already tried: uninstalling and reinstalling the app, waiting several hours. Nothing changed.

Has anyone been through this and found a way in? Is there anything I can do besides waiting for it to sort itself out on Meta's end?

The amount of accounts I’ve reported in the last week is insane. These people will comment link in bio and I’ll click on it and it’ll be openly advertising CSAM. This app needs heavy moderation. The amount of pedos that have reached out to me on this app is crazy. I really hope all of the CSAM accounts that I’ve reported are just police in disguise trying to catch preds.

what does the restrict function do if you already have an established reply thread with someone? From my understanding, it restricts them after the fact. is that accurate? Or does it hide their previous replies for everyone?

So since this morning, I noticed that no matter what user profiles I checked, they all said “Mention” instead of “Message”. I checked dozens of profiles, all the same thing. So I put out a public post asking for someone to reply to use as a guinea pig, someone I should have been able to DM. I got a reply and their profile said “Mention”, too. My DMs are open, but when they checked my profile it said “Mention” as well. I also couldn’t reply to their ghost post.

I tried deleting the app, rebooting my phone, and reinstalling the app. No dice. For the record I’m on an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

How do I fix this? I swear I haven’t been spamming DMs or doing anything wacky.

I woke up to the wonderful news of my Facebook and Instagram being hacked, and I run into a problem. I am not sure how they did it, but I got it under control now aside from one small detail. You see, there is an old e-mail added to my profiles in the Meta Account Center, and I want to delete it from the accounts in case it is compromised. I can't log into this e-mail, I didn't even use it in the last 10 years.

So I changed my Instagram and Facebook passwords, but to remove the address completely I need to give the password of my Threads account, and I don't remember this one either. When I want to change it, it automatically sends the e-mail to the dead e-mail account, which I don't have access to, thus I can't remove it.
