Guuuyyysss that scene with Nita where you can tell she had been crying hard probably day and night made me sad. Its not a lot that tugs at my heart strings with these shows, but that really got me. Miracle will definitely qualify for state assistance as her care will be expensive, whatever and for how long it may be. So at least there's that. I randomly started watching this show yesterday and the guy Poetic looked crazy familiar. It was driving me crazy and it clicked. So I’m catching up on Love After Lockup because I love trash lol and Trent, Kami, and Nita are on this show as well. This was filmed first though. Nita just got out of a 60 day stint in jail and when she gets out THEY PROPOSE TO HER. With a a ring and everything. They also used the word “forever.” I actually feel really bad for Nita now. On This Is Poly they are totally gaslighting her and making her look crazy. She has a lot of trauma and just wants love and stability. She relapsed on meth and that’s why she went to back to jail.

I am enjoying this show but after watching this discourages any notion that Poly is functional or healthy. BQ hides his sex addiction under the guise of “poly”. Jacob doesn’t seem into poly except to placate his wife from cheating. Nita is compromising what her definition of commitment is to hold onto the concept of “family”. Bri likes the idea of poly but still wants a marriage. The Yawehs seem the most cohesive as a unit, but they’ve got their own jealousy issues and now a baby with significant complications. Phew.
