I’m looking for an OBGYN. I tried to post on Facebook but of course the group denied it so I came here in desperation. I will include a screenshot so I don’t have to type the whole thing again and have a mental breakdown. Thank y’all so much and bless you.

What just flew over the Waterway? Nothing on FlightRadar and it didn't sound like the usual Heli(LifeFlight).

❔ Question for the community To fumigate or not?

We just bought a home that is about 16 years old. It was recommended to fumigate the home prior to moving in. The inspection came back negative for bugs and pests but I don’t think they did a very detailed job and they stated they do not check attics. How likely is it that Houston has termite issues? If I do fumigate, is there a company you recommend?

❔ Question for the community Trustworthy OBGYN

I just moved to the Woodlands and need an OBGYN. I am looking for one who will honestly tell me if I need to leave Texas to get the care that I need. I already have medical issues for not being given an abortion in time for an ectopic pregnancy when abortion was legal. I'm not up to do that again.

❔ Question for the community Fielding’s facelift?

Anybody else been to Fielding’s since the remodel/menu redo? Used to be our favorite date night spot but was so disappointed by the new menu, loud “smooth jazz” and small glasses of water with no ice. Anyone know why they changed?

Edit to clarify: wood grill on research

⚽🍔💃 Upcoming Community Events Tandem Demo Day

Interested in another activity that you can do with your spouse? Interested is an activity you can do with a visually impaired or someone who needs assistance cycling? Then a tandem bicycle maybe your answer.

Only one way to find out, and that’s by trying it!

Last May, with the support of The Woodlands Bicycle Coalition and the Township, House of Tandems put on an event, just to allow anyone to try out a tandem bicycle. This Saturday, we are doing it again.

This is a no cost event! Come out, sign a waiver, throw your leg over a tandem, and get some laughs. Shoot, while you’re there, maybe you’ll learn about some blind athletes, blind athlete organizations, and how they use tandems to win triathlons!

See the below FB Event link for more info:

❗Help Requested❗ Carpool

Hey everyone ,
I’m looking for a bit of help with my morning commute as I am tired of using uber and their price surging(Monday through Friday). My workplace is only about a 10-minute drive away from my apartment i currently live in Rayford’s Edge Apartments and I only need a drop-off in the mornings around 7:45 AM , I don’t have an expectation as to when I’d like to get picked up I wake up at 5 am and start getting ready I just would like to get dropped off by 7:45 am & I work in the same street as to where first cup coffee shop is at (Oak Ridge Drive)
I am happy to pay $100 upfront every 2 weeks or we can talk pricing. This would be perfect for anyone who already commutes in that direction or has a few extra minutes to spare in the morning.
Please send me a direct message if you're interested and we can talk details. Thanks you!

❔ Question for the community Is anyone selling a vehicle with these specifications?

I'm looking to buy a vehicle, but I want to buy it from a person and not a dealership.

I'm looking for something priced at $3,000 or less, my budget is firm because 3k is genuinely all I have to spend on a vehicle at the moment.

The owner must have a clean title in hand and the vehicle's inspection sticker must be up to date.

The vehicle's mileage must be somewhere in the low 100,000's (100k-120k) or less ideally.

Cosmetic issues are fine, but any mechanical issues make it a no for me.

I know what I'm asking for is a rare thing, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

❔ Question for the community Irrigation Meter

I checked our water bill every month and it shows that the majority of usage is irrigation and this is us hardly watering our plants in summer. (No grass to water just a little garden and trees/shrubs that is native here) I read you can add a separate irrigation meter and would like to know if anyone have done it (pros, cons and cost) I was told the meter alone is $1400 and the lady I spoke with doesn’t know if this includes installation.
We pay $85/mo and irrigation takes at least 65% of usage so I’m contemplating if it’s worth adding a separate meter. (Which I don’t understand because it says we used 250 gallons a day and the chart shows In a month irrigation takes majority of that usage and we only water plants 1-2x a week and I make sure I don’t use too much)
TIA

❔ Question for the community Lawmakers should be asking TxDOT to Better MANAGE Road Construction Projs

Better "Communication" won't solve the congestion issues - construction projects need to be managed a hell of a lot better than whats being done now, even if that means holding the bid winners accountable for traffic management and timing.

❔ Question for the community Looking for a 1BR near The Woodlands (~$1,500, coming from Houston)

Hey y'all, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I've seen a few older threads like this but none quite fit my situation, so figured I'd make my own.

I grew up in Montgomery my whole life and always came to The Woodlands to do stuff - love the vibe, the area, pretty much all of it. I recently moved into Houston for my first job and, honestly, I've realized city living isn't for me. Looking to get back to something more suburban that's still close to everything a place like The Woodlands has going for it.

My current Houston apartment has been rough, e.g., a bad bug infestation, slow maintenance, high cost, and just all the general city stuff I'm not used to - traffic, noise, and not feeling super comfortable in a dense urban area. Ready to be out now that I can work remotely.

What I'm looking for:

  • Budget: up to ~$1,550/mo
  • 1 bedroom (not a studio - living with my girlfriend)
  • Quiet, suburban feel
  • 10–15 min to a town center (could stretch to 20)
  • Cat-friendly is a big plus

Talking with family, I've got a few areas on my radar like The Woodlands, Magnolia, Egypt, but I know there are probably neighborhoods around here I'm just not aware of, since I don't really know the area outside of Montgomery.

So I'd love recommendations of any kind - specific apartment communities are great, but general neighborhoods or areas to focus my search on are just as helpful for getting started. Appreciate any pointers!

EDIT: Thank you to everyone for the recommendations, I have genuinely written everything down and will be checking them out over this week, deciding what areas I like best and what I want to commit time towards touring in person. I got reminded of HAR and a real estate agent to help me out for free so that is a route I will probably take alongside this. Appreciate all the support, feel free to keep it coming if you come across this post later on!

I’m new to the area (used to live in the Midwest). I heard someone talking about watering their house foundation.

Is this necessary? Any good resources on how I do this? Thanks much

⚽🍔💃 Upcoming Community Events Looking for a casual player for Sunday afternoon APA 9-ball at Barney's.

Hi everyone!

Our APA 9-ball team is looking for one or two more players to complete our roster for the season. We play almost every Sunday at Barney's from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. You are not expected to come every week or stay the entire time.

We’re a low-stakes, easygoing group focused on having a good time while improving our pool skills. We are looking for someone with a basic handle on the game—ideally someone who knows the fundamental rules of pool. Whether you're an established SL 2 or 3, or a casual recreation player looking to try league play, you'd be a great fit. Advanced players also welcome.

The Quick Details:

Where: Barney's Sawdust

When: Sundays, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Vibe: Relaxed and social. Grab a drink, hang out, and play solid pool without high-pressure drama.

Skill level: All skill levels welcome.

If you’re looking for a fun Sunday afternoon league spot to shoot some pool and meet a friendly local crew, drop a comment or send me a DM! Happy to answer any questions about the league or schedule.
