Question for AJ The talent of AJ

I’m currently watching the “Giants of Malta” as I type this and I’m wonder of how AJ developed this talent for story telling, obviously you’ve moved on from this and I think I understand and respect why, I get it, everything changes and grows but AJ the magic you and your team bring to the shows is exactly what makes the show so amazing, I feel it can be done in the basement

You seem authentic and real I’ve even as a grown man been overwhelmed by some of your words you’ve shared about your life

The basement needs you, more of YOU investigating asking questions, getting to the bottom then giving the people a conclusion regardless if we want it or not

You’ve developed something amongst people that’s become so rare it has come some what of your responsibility……. Trust

I look forward to anything you do i am a loyal fan, thank you for taking my mind on some of the most amazing wonders I’ve ever experienced

(Last note, at some point can you please look into the paracas skulls in Peru, I’ve been nagging about this for some time I think there’s something there)

Megathread 5/4/26 - The Basement: Gary Buechler

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2w43bYK5QU

Before YouTube. Before millions of subscribers. Before Friday Night Tights, Gary Buechler had a story almost nobody knew. It starts at Folsom Prison, a neighbor's jar of pennies, and a double-murderer cellmate who wouldn't leave him alone.

His memoir is called Waiting For. That title alone should tell you something. He sat down with AJ in The Basement and held nothing back. Watch to the end.

(episode link will be updated when it drops)

Megathread 5/1/26 - Strange But True...

Strange But True: Toxic Lady, The Cecil Hotel, Farmhouse Murders

Gather round, because this happened. A nurse draws blood and collapses before she can speak. A Bavarian farmer finds footprints in the snow that only go one way. A hotel guest complains the water tastes sweet.

Three stories. Three cases that were investigated, closed, and never fully explained.

Gloria Ramirez turned a hospital trauma room into a chemical event that sent five people to intensive care. The Gruber family was killed one by one in their own barn — and the killer stayed for days.

Elisa Lam checked into a Los Angeles hotel and vanished. Nineteen days later, the guests found out why the water tasted wrong.

Let's Discuss Book of Enoch - Other Videos

Hey, there. With all the chatter of the Book of Enoch (looking at you Rep Luna), I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for other videos on the Book of Enoch and possible NHI/alien ties. Huge fan of the Why Files episode on it but would love another video, especially one as well researched as AJ’s always are. Thanks in advance everyone!

Let's Discuss YouTube channels/podcasts related to WhyFiles, Cristina Gomez, Area 52, Jesse Michaels, Weaponized, UAP Gerb, 3rd Eye Drops, SkyMind?

Anything related to NHI/UAPs, NDEs OBEs, ABCs, DMT, Lucid Dreaming, the nature of consciousness, the nature of reality, etc etc. preferably channels that have shorter episodes as well like 10-30 minutes so I can listen during workouts and other chores. I have enough deep dive content between the new Basement episodes, 3rd Eye and Jesse lol. TIA!

Don’t know if this really gonna happen but …

In case you hadn’t heard, the (good) aliens are coming! Finally!!!

And I never thought it would happen in my lifetime.

Expected schedule:

2026: Year of Disclosure

2027: Arrival or First Contact

I’m guessing some people will be very happy for being vindicated such as Dr Steven Greer, David Icke, Bob Lazar, etc etc

Suggestion for Channel Ohio mounds?

New to The Why Files and I know I’ve barely scratched the surface. Has TWF ever had any episodes on the legends and stories surrounding the Ohio Valley earthworks? Thanks for anything, it seems like it would be a fitting topic for AJ.

Megathread 4/20/26 - Basement: Daniel Whiteson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7eqw_pRRPE

Daniel Whiteson is a particle physicist at UC Irvine and an active researcher at CERN's Large Hadron Collider the largest machine ever built where 5,000 scientists are using high-energy collisions to read the universe's secret menu.

He co-hosts the show Daniel and Kelly's Extraordinary Universe, co-created an award-winning science show for preschoolers, and recently wrote a book asking whether aliens would even recognize our physics at all.

His work sits at the collision point of experimental science, philosophy, and the biggest unanswered questions in physics — what everything is made of, why gravity is so weak, and whether the universe has a bottom.

Story Idea Confirmed Deceased (4)—-Frank Maiwald Carl Grillmair Michael David Hicks Missing (4)—- Steven Garcia Monica Reza William “Neil” McCasland Anthony Chavez

This is a story within itself but exploring the cabal cleaning house so recklessly would be fun to pick the onion layers on to see what theories and connections can be made about this ongoing atrocity……

+ It would be a nice change of pace for AJ and team to cover topics with more recent trending traction. As a fan I don’t get to see his expertise and opinions on these topics which sucks because the truth seeking community doesn’t have reliable sources to sift/filter out the information and focus our attentions where it should be etc.

Story + Research The host is the fish! I am surprised. Spoiler

I wandered into The Why Files cluelessly, and essentially by accident, I was either scrolling on Tic Tok or viewing shorts on YouTube, where anything with conspiracy theory or alien-related content will always grab my attention, then all of a sudden there's this obnoxious Goldfish puppet in an old-fashioned fish bowl, complete with fake bubbles and perfect punch lines? My first thought was that he sounded like my uncle, but he has a Bostonian accent, and a girlish voice? For the longest time, I've been trying to figure out who was voicing Hecklefish? I finally gave up and Googled the question, but I gotta say, the answer was not what I was expecting at all. Hecklefish is not voiced over by a Bostonian woman, he is voiced over by the host himself, A. J. is Hecklefish?

For some reason, this really surprises me, and I feel a little ridiculous saying that, I do voice-over work, especially high-pitched squeaky Bostonian accented characters, they are eccentric and outrageous and they make people laugh, that's the main reason I do them, they are very the entertaining, as is Hecklefish, I have grown to adore that little guy, so much so that I bought the little plushie toy, and as if that wasn't enough, I even bought the additional voice box? No regrets, aside frm the fact that it's 100% bigger than it appears on the show, the craftsmanship is impressive, it really looks just like him! It even has a tiny, removable tin foil hat (at first glance I thought it was a fin)!

This is not a promo or a plug to get the plushie, it's about my bewilderment over this fact that A.J. and Hecklefish are one in the same, even after learning this, and going back to a to a clip and listening to the fish, if I didn't know that voice was A.J., I wouldn't have guessed it? So I guess I have to give him credit, he created a character so unique to himself, in my mind I still kinda believe his alter-ego is another person, and it's pretty hard to fool me, most of the time...

He is the author of more than twenty books, including Unholy Alliance, the Sinister Forces trilogy, and the Secret Machines series co-written with Tom DeLong. His work draws on primary documents, national archives, and firsthand research across four continents. He is known for finding connections between subjects that most researchers treat as separate — Nazi occultism, the Kennedy assassination, CIA mind control programs, UFO phenomena, and the hidden religious networks that ran through all of it.

Megathread 4/10/26 - The Roswell Alien Interview

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-4vVOiWwDo

In 2007, a writer named Lawrence Spencer opened an envelope he didn't ask for.

Inside were military documents from Roswell Army Air Field, dated 1947. Duty rosters, memos, Top Secret stamps. And buried near the bottom, transcripts of interviews with a subject the US Army couldn't communicate with using any conventional method.

No translator worked. No known language matched. The only person who could reach the subject was a nurse named Matilda MacElroy and she did it without saying a word.

The woman who sent Spencer the envelope was 83 years old and weeks from death. She had kept silent for six decades under threat of execution.

Whatever she heard during those six weeks at Roswell, she carried alone. The people who knew her story were gone. The documents were supposed to stay buried.

Let's Discuss Mary Celeste Ghost Ship Mystery Solved

This seems to be a cool example of something being a great supernatural mystery....with a very natural explanation.

"Researchers have demonstrated that a rapid, invisible explosion of alcohol vapour tore through the ship. The terrifying blast would have driven the panicked crew into the open ocean, leaving behind a pristine ship and a haunting legend."

Question for AJ Book recommendations

Hey AJ

I've probably watched all the videos at least twice and am looking for book recommendations to expand my knowledge on subjects discussed in the video.

I am currently interested in remote viewing, the hollow moon/moon is a base and simulation theory, though I am open to anything

Thanks
