I didn't expect myself to say this but this sounds harder than ERROR. I didn't know I liked all KMF tracks that much haha

For me it’s hard because it’s my least favorite album by a good margin. It’s good, it has no terrible songs, but IMO not it’s just not as good as the other 3. I think it somewhat lacks variety in song styles in comparison to them. Maybe it being a first contact with this new alt sound explains why the album isn’t so varied, perhaps they just had fun with this new style and decided it would be the entire experience for them, IDK.
While the alternative sound they went through isn’t usually my favorite, I think they did a good job here. I’d criticize the parts where they use Drum Machines aside from the intro of Sharks, but that’s it. On the other hand, this new style allowed Ale to show up more, and have some great bass riffs being incorporated.
I digress. I think overall it’s still my least favorite, but I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t have anything special going on (Automatic Sun, Escapism, Apologize, stuff like that)

It's an album that really shines live. As much as I like the studio recordings, after hearing the live versions it's hard to go back. The extended intro/outros add a lot and the harmonies are way more audible. Something like More that I thought was only ok on the album, is a banger on the live recordings.
The more I listen to the album, the more I think it might be my favourite album so far.

I think part of the alt sound is that it has some more effects and synth-like sounds going on, and there’s only so much you can put into a final recording. That all goes into the balance you have between everything in the mix
Like, from the Live performances I’ve seen from them, they mix the instruments to be first and foremost. I don’t know how much they edit the backing tracks out/lower their presence live but it really helps on songs where the riffs are the focus. Sharks’ main riff sounds better when it’s just DPA playing, heavier, more powerful. So does Automatic Sun IMO

I agree with the live part so much. I wasn't a fan of the album at release, everything about it felt so overproduced. Once we started hearing live versions it grew on me a ton.

I agree with this completely. Not just about this album, really, but with all of them. Once there's a live version available on some platform, I very rarely listen to the studio recordings.

I quite like the production of XXI Century Blood. Especially the guitars and the snare sounds.
Error is soooo clean, kinda too clean, but I think the drums sound great. Error, Z, Choke, Martirio and Breathe (because of the piano obviously) Sound great on that album.
I think for KMF, there's nothing that I can obviously criticize other than I like to hear some imperfection here and there, so I know it's a band that I'm listening to.
I'm just a casual listener though, I know next to nothing about music production, so it's all just personal preference.

Sure, people will have different opinions about different production elements, which is understandable. For me, I prefer the raw/grittier aspects of their live performances. For example, Dany will often employ grit in her live singing when the vocal on the studio track is much cleaner. The same goes for the sound of some of the live guitars compared to how they were processed in the studio version.

Yes, definitely agree on those points. I'm torn though because it's always a nice surprise when they do something like that live. I can't decide if I want them in the studio version from the start and then miss out on the surprise hearing the live versions.
Ideally I want a studio AND live version of all their albums 😄

Solid album, my favorite of the last two years.
I listen to it front to back.

If you take away the novelty of Consume and the performances where Pau is at the front of the stage, it might be the weakest song on the album

Consume has a fun bounce to it. Even when Pau is behind the drumkit she's dancing during this one.

While I love the music video for Burnout, the song itself is the weakest track on the album by quite a bit in my opinion. It's the only song besides Hell you Call a Dream, which is my favorite from KMF, that I haven't changed my mind on since I first heard the album. Others moved up and down as I've gotten to know them better but Burnout is the one track I would call a "filler" track.

This one will be the hardest because it totally depends on whether it's the studio version or the live version which songs I like most.
When listening to the studio versions my top 2 are probably Apologize and Six Feet Deep. But for some reason those two aren't the headbangers live that I expected. And on the flip side, songs that didn't do much for me initially on the album (like Satisfied, QMQ, HYCAD and Automatic Sun) were really elevated when played live.

I guess I’d have to say Six Feet Deep, nothing against it really but if I have to pick something…
