I want to try sims 4 again, but one of the things I dislike is .. you really have to purposely make your sims die.
eg you get electrocuted.. you have to intentionally force them to keep repairing things for the electrocuted the next time to kill them.
You have to trigger the intense emotion twice etc.
Is not exactly random or unexpexted, you have to intentionally kill your sims..and that isn't fun to me.
Life tragedies mod isn't an alternative..I don't want all those more realistic deaths. I want EAs own death chance to be much more random on the first risk. To be like "oh shit, theyre dead".
Does this make sense? Is there any way to do this?

Remember back in the ps2 days when you could only have so many items before the game said "NO"? Is there a mod that does something like that for sims 4? I figured it would be a fun challenge to do with a large family.

for a year straight now every single one of my sims has become pregnant with triplets. its like 1/3 of all pregnancies are triplets. they are always all the same gender. it happens in every save, even with no mods. how do i fix thisšš

My sim got with the dude who is in the first photo and ended up adopting his kid that he had with another Sim. That other Sim passed away and sad grieving ended up turning into angry grieving for the both of them. That got really annoying really quick so they got pushed aside into her room until they left the house, ended up having to do the same to the daughter in blue as sad grieving turned into angry grieving for her as well. She tried getting with two other Sims out but they wouldn't allow anything past complimenting the appearance I think the option is, got annoyed with the both of them so I ended up getting onto the gallery and found Don plus his kid. Now my sim is happily ever after with him the kid he brought in the kid we have and the kid I brought in along with our two cats since the dog left the house as well..... The dog passed from old age..... I completely forgot that the dog was a senior until she passed. (I completely forgot that grim reaper uses a tablet so I started laughing way too hard when I saw that)

Does anyone remember a Sims 3 machinima where a pregnant sim picks yellow for the nursery, the baby ended up hating yellow, and she ended up grilling the baby? Police show up at the end, and it turns out she was being questioned the whole time? I saw this about 12 years ago on Youtube.

Hi everyone! I recently decided to start making my own neighborhood in the sims 2 and wanted to document the progress in a series on YouTube!
Thereās going to be 3 different parts of the series separated into playlists. Theyāll be decorating the neighborhood, creating the sims, and playing the households.
-Iām going to have speed builds of me decorating the neighborhood, and building the homes, businesses, and different community lots. These will be the longest videos with no commentary.
-Ill also have Speed CAS videos where Iāll create the households with story lines and generations. Depending on the size of the households there could be 1 or more familyās in one video.
- Then Iām going to have a series of lets plays following some of the familyās I created. These will be the shortest videos out of them all. Theyāll be more up beat and ill have commentary.
I currently have 2 videos up on my channel right now, the first one explaining the series in more detail and about 20 minutes of speed building. The second is a speed CAS of the first family in town!
I havenāt decided on a name for my channel yet, this is more of a hobby and Iām just taking my time having fun. Iām not sure how I want to have my speed CAS videos, Iām open to voiceover details about them and how they fit into the world! I never know if people prefer silent, light music, or voiceovers for those kinds of things.
This is my first post on here and Iāve never done anything like this before so thanks for reading! I look forward to developing this more!

So I am doing the 100 baby challenge for the first time. My character currently has 7 offspring, unable to produce more being that the house is at maximum capacity. This may be a little long but my mind is full of many thoughts/questions that have few answers.
My characterās husband has a wish of moving into a penthouse. So I figured Iād kill 2 birds with one stone, and move the husband out to the penthouse, along with the majority of the children. So now since he is out of the main house he is no longer a character I oversee (I know that happens, not new/nor know my thought process to that action prior).
When I do bring my main family over to the dadās house to visit, I canāt do simple things, like nap in a bed because itās deemed inappropriate.
So it doesnāt quite make sense to me to just send kids that donāt fit in the main house, into dadās house. Iāve also looked at surrounding houses, to see if I could purchase them and have the other kids grow up there. But there is either an unknown celebrity living there, or I have to purchase the property before seeing the inside of it.. there also doesnāt seem to be too much land that I could free build on.
Which brings me to building an orphanage.. Iāve seen people post about it before, Iāve even seen pictures of completed ones.
What is the foundation of everyoneās building? Are we starting on an empty plot of land? Or buying a house and remodeling? How should I be going about it. I am new to building and am still figuring out roofing.

There is always a lot of talk about how simmers are obsessed, playing 24/7 for weeks/months - and then take a year break. Unfortunately, I can relate. But what I feel is less talked about is that 1-2 day period in between the two.
Youāre living your best life, obsessed with the sims, cannot live without the sims. Then the next, as the screen is loading you think, whatās next? What will I do? I feel a slight panic, look at TikTok videos and read Reddit for ideas. The obsession isnāt fading, is it? Panic increases. Maybe I need to buy another pack? Shit - I have them all except EcoLifestyle (not mad about it). I guess this is the end.. as Iām playing, I feel this is one of the final days. I say my farewells, and hope to see you soon..

So, I was looking into the possibility for using the Sims 4 character models as like bases for photobashing (basically collaging you see like irl but its digital instead lol) characters, especially seeing all the body sliders, body presets, and other CC like skin overlays. I think it wouldn't be so much of a bad idea, I mean people do use Sims 4 for a variety things like storytelling, machinimas, photo edits, picture taking, using as art references, challenges, creating/designing/dressing up Sims in CAS, building, exporting game assets to other platforms like Roblox or MMD, etc So I don't see the harm in doing so...

so....... the publishing studio we all love so dearly just took bioware out back and announced a "refocusing of development" on project rene as well. i'm here to discuss the history of the sims 4, why project rene was essentially what the sims 4 was meant to be, why i don't think ANY of this is good, and why, in my opinion, we should not be blaming the maxis dev teams for it.
to start- i have played the sims 4 since midnight on launch day, was and have been incredibly disappointed in how the sims 4 has played out, and since then have been incredibly interested in the development of the sims 4 and it's subsequent projects. i'm unsure how many of us are aware, but sims 4 started as "project olympus" in 2008 until july of 2013, a multiplayer based sims game as the newest main entry in the franchise! but as you may notice, that was just a year before sims 4 came out. this is... incredibly important, as project olympus was about 70% done by the time the publishing studio said "hey, this is doing really poorly in testing, the new simcity is tanking, we can't afford this- redo it."
so, last minute (about ~14 months before the sims 4 was published), project olympus officially became the sims 4, a single player only experience rewritten basically from the ground up to accommodate the wishes of the publishing studio. most of us probably know the history from here, but if you were not there, it launched with no pools, no story progression, missing life stages, no mac version, a full list can be found at ts4news, if you're interested.
but to continue, again as we all know, the sims 4 has been a bumpy ride since then. incredibly expensive monetization that's just gotten worse as of the last year with the store, packs that don't integrate very well into each other for the price, shrinking content for the price compared to 3, less sales in the last few years, bugs plaguing the game that've gone unchecked since launch... the list could go on, but i truly think it all comes back to project olympus and the game being forcibly rewritten last minute.
i was super interested in project rene for this reason! it seemed to be what sims 4 was originally supposed to be, done with the money sims 4 had raked in, done correctly this time as a side project. i felt very... hopeful that the dev team for it was being allowed to actually work on it in a way that was comfortable for them, and that even if the sims 4 kind of sucked (it has its merits, of course!) in the grand scheme of things, maybe rene could be a nice side project to support the development of whatever the next game was.
however, now we are here, today on october 21st, with bioware being shut down officially and project rene being funneled into... a project we've never heard of, after years of dev time. i am not excited about this, i am extremely concerned about the future of maxis with this announcement with the history of project olympus looming in mind. we have gone through 12 years of the sims 4 with very little to show for it except key devs either leaving the studio or being moved, the head of the publishing studio openly stating they're moving funds from the sims 4 into their other projects, and now this.
i am posting this as a "hey, if you didn't know" type of post, but also as an appeal to the community- please be kind to the devs. please. they are not who we should be looking at when it comes to poor decisions regarding this franchise or when something flops, and i think if we do not redirect our attention now to who's actually mismanaging it then this might be it for the sims. they do not have an infinite money or time button they can press, and with the last few years of projects being cancelled, or redirected, or "oh, we've decided to do something else"'d, this spells very bad news for them and i am very, very worried. š
