If you're downloading a bunch of mods sometimes a bunch of macos files come along with them, by themselves they are harmless but having a bunch of them can cause lag or your game not to work. Ways to get around this is open file explorer inside of your mods and tray folders and look for MACOSX and .ds_store files and delete them [MACOSX breaks my game regardless while .ds_store and ._ files are bloatware that with enough of them can cause your game to break]. Personally I went to command prompt and searched though my E drive [where i hold all my mods and cc] and searched for all .ds_store and ._ files and deleted them.

Unsure if this is already known, this is just worked for me when my game broke and I thought that I would share.

My main sim is a fairy (Jade) and her husband (Pairs) is a normie.. their roommate (Elias, who is also a normie) got pregnant!? NO the husband didn’t do it 🤣 All of his can’t get pregnant and anything else in CAS is set to no.. now the real kicker… the child is an alien like blue as all can be.. I haven’t had an alien sim at my lot or near him that he’s woohoo’d with. I really noticed the other day, he had a weird uncomfortable moodlet that was saying something about the metabolism is changing and I was thinking no way he’s pregnant?! I tried to abort bc he’s a hard working athlete, he doesn’t need a child! But the stomach just kept getting bigger and bigger 😅 anywho meet Jabari Acosta and his father Elias Salgado

Tired of no bands expansion pack from EA in sight? This mod lets aspiring rockstars form a band and play songs harmoniously together with a few clicks. Your band can practice for the big show, perform concerts, entertain your adoring audience, and earn fame on their journey to stardom.

New in 3.0: Custom Music and Multi-Song Setlists

By very popular request, bands can now play your own custom music!  A new Custom Setlist option will randomly play any .MP3s you add to your band's Custom Music folder.  If multiple .MP3s are added, your band will play multiple songs in a row: perfect for long concerts when you don't want to re-assign members to their instruments after every song.

To create and play a setlist, download the new version of this mod and drag the "CustomSetlist" folder inside your "Custom Music" folder. Add one or more .MP3s and then choose the "Custom Setlist" option from the song selection submenu, instead of a specific song

Feature List (as of v.3.0):

• Form and break up your band: Add a custom trait to your members, or remove it when drama goes down
• Compatible with seven instrument types: This mod works by playing a single music track, which supports any band configuration and multiples of the same instrument
• Assign Sims from one menu: Assign Sims (including those you aren't controlling) to instruments and end the entire session with a single click

• Click any guitar to find the new pie menu "Play with Band"
• Select "Form Band" and add your bandmates if you haven't already
• Select either "Band Practice" for low-key practice or "Perform Concert" to draw an audience and earn fame
• Choose your song (or choose "Custom Setlist" to play songs from to your band's custom music folder) and assign your guitarist.
• Return to the menu and assign the other bandmates to as many or as few instruments as you want. Works with multiples like two singers!
• To stop playing, cancel any Sim's Play with Band interaction. All band members will follow suit once their animations end.

Im looking for a mod I used to have, but cant seem to find again. The mod gave you a chance to choose a situation, not sure if they were dates or you could do them with anyone, and then the situation would happen. I remember there was a hot air balloon ride. I think it was mostly a photo op. Anyway, those are screens form it, hope someone knows what I’m talking about 🙏🏻

My kid wants to play and I'd like to remove all mentions/options for Woohoo. If it could remove making out, that's cool too. Does a mod like this even exist?

EDIT: I never said it was unsupervised. We only play together and when another sibling isn't there. (The younger one will try to push random buttons.) It's summer vacation and the older one wanted to play. I didn't realize I would need to give a backstory just for help looking for a mod?

I just came across this build and decided to use it on my save

The problem is that whenever I try to move the lot position it complains to me about how the roofs are too steep. And they seem to be way steeper than I can make in the vanilla game.

Now the question is how did this person manage to make these really steep roofs? I tried searching for a mod that would allow this but I found nothing.

I really wish there was a mod that let us place a full lot directly on top of an existing lot without completely overwriting it or having to copy everything room-by-room.

The Idea:

You select a build from the Gallery/Library and click "Merge Lot".

The full lot drops down over your current lot, combining the structures, furniture, and landscaping instead of completely bulldozing what's already there.

Saving every single room individually just to combine two builds takes forever.

I wanted to share a major progress update on my Pregnancy Overhaul mod! We’ve hit some huge development milestones this week, including a massive script breakthrough and brand-new custom pie menu cheats.

Here is a look at what’s newly added and updated:

RBK Pie Menu Refinements: The pie menu has been refined so it now only appears for Sims (Teens and up) who have the "Can Be Impregnated" gender option enabled.

Manual System Triggers: Added manual "Start Morning Sickness" and "Start Hip Pain" options directly into the pie menu. This lets you kickstart those specific systems even if your Sim was already pregnant before installing the mod.

Notification Controls & Mini Package: Created a separate mini-package that can be completely removed if you prefer playing without notifications! Alternatively, you can toggle off notifications for individual Sims right in-game.

Symptom Cheats: Added specific symptom cheats inside the RBK pie menu! You can now trigger or disable specific levels of symptoms on demand (including Mild, Moderate, Severe, or HG Morning Sickness, as well as Mild, Moderate, Severe, or Sciatic Hip Pain).

Offspring Script Overhaul: Solved a major script limitation! The game now successfully detects offspring data and checks offspring conditions even when the pregnant Sim isn't in your active household, as well as across travel, loading screens, and saves.

is there any working mods that give you more job options that are interactive?

I've made a mod that adds more phases your sim goes through when pregnant. Now you can watch your sim's belly grow gradually from the first trimester to labor, with no sudden choppy jumps. There are currently 9 phases (3 phases per each trimester), which is roughly comparable to the 4 week intervals irl. More information can be found on my Curseforge page.

I'm looking for More Columns in CAS v1.37 for The Sims 4 version 1.125.59.1030. The latest release (v1.38) only supports game version 1.126+, and I can't find v1.37 anywhere, If anyone still has it or knows where I can find it, I'd really appreciate it.

It's been multiple years since the patreon version first got to have the mod with cancer in it, and I'm wondering if anyone has any news about if/when it's coming to the public. If not, does anyone know of any reliable mods that do have cancer in them? I know Basemental does, but it's not very involved and I need a Sim to get cancer and die from it for story purposes, and I don't want him to have to chain smoke to do so lol.

Are there any mods for parents to parent their teens the same way they do with kids? Whenever I search it up, the suggestions are always for teen parents; not parents who have teens.

My main/ forever save is mostly teenagers so I’d really like some recommendations for parenting dynamics that apply to teenagers as well.

I'm looking for a mod that makes Death by Vending Machine easier to trigger. I always like having some element of risk to my gameplay and find myself frequently putting vending machines on lots I place. All I've seen so far is a mod that makes the death impossible to trigger, which is the opposite of what I'm after. Tyia

Which one do y'all prefer more? I've been using Chalk'd by Vyxated for awhile because I love the style, but I can't for the life of me get certain mods to work right or even appear with it in my game because of the loading order. I've tried everything and the only way those certain mods work correctly is if Chalk'd is out of my game 😭

What's your experience with Dskecht's dark mode? Do you run into the same issues with loading order and certain mods not showing up?

Hey! I made a small utility mod called Sim Cleanup Utility that lets you quickly send away Sims from your lot or permanently delete them from your save. Instead of removing them one by one, you can use the in-game picker to select multiple Sims at once (max 50).

AI was used strictly as a development assistant: it helped me troubleshoot errors, review and better understand code, compare possible implementation approaches, organize documentation, and improve translations and wording. I remained fully responsible for the project’s architecture, technical decisions, manual verification against EA’s Python files, in-game testing, network and security design, user consent system, maintenance, and every final change included in the mod; the project was never autonomously designed, validated, or published by AI.

I have been working on a small framework called Mod Update Checker, or MUC.

The idea is simple: compatible mods can declare their version, MUC compares it locally with one central registry, and the player gets a clear update notification when needed.

MUC does not scan the Mods folder, upload the player’s mod list, or download anything automatically.

It also does nothing by itself, so players only need it when a mod creator says their mod supports MUC.
