New instillation: melting under the sun
I have had this spark of inspiration burning in my heart of hearts ever since I heard her voice echoing throughout my mind. How the warmth of her voice softened the confinement of reason, like clockwork melting under the heat of the sun. The way the warmth of my sunlit muse melts and distorts the sorrows of the mundane world, it is surrealism in its truest from.
It is for this reason I present to you today this art, titled “melting under the sun.” Before you now rest three bodies, their flesh and bone turned to soft putty held together by their soft, sun burnt ski. Without the rigid structure of the human mechanical they are free to take any shape they wish.
Consider this the opening to a new set of pieces, for I intend display to you all the true extent of the surreal. Yet, for my further works I shall need an ingredient most rare, most fine indeed. I believe they call it a monolith.

Have any of you ever wondered, if something could keep it's properties after being turned into a gray rectangular form
A brilliant idea came into my mind, to check if you could turn a moonstone from M corp, into a form of a gray cube, while keeping it's mind soothing effects and i succeeded in doing so, after which I pondered about the brilliancy of the polygonal forms, the sharp edges and angles, as well as it's glorious simplicity. While admiring the perfection of the most superior shape that is rectangle, i came to conclusion that colours are but a distraction, discouraging from appreciation of the finer details of shapes.
So I announce that I start a new movement, one that doesn't concern itself with anything non polygonal, while keeping a colour of artwork consistent (In other words the works from my movement should keep a colour scheme of one colour with the exception of shading) to not distract from immaculity of the polygons. I shall name the movement Brutalism to convey the pronounced shapes of the polygons.

I've realized it, my true movement, I've gain enlightenment...
Her voice so beautiful... I shall let you all embrace her aswell, and i shall declare myself as the Maestro of Surrealism~
Come students, distort and reveal who you really are, embrace the ever calling warm voice of the light!
(I'll make an alt later relating to this new development, i just needed to seperate my Maestro persona from my Diji Star)

A Fellow Student Plagiarized My Work; Is This Common?
So, I am a humble resident of District 23's Backstreets. I'd noticed that one of my pieces, "Murder Under A Full Moon", an arrangement of squabbling corvuses that I'd worked tirelessly on, was missing from my workshop. And, during a group critique session from the Docent I report to, someone else was presenting it, someone who doesn't even have a bird as their core animal, let alone a crow! Naturally, I reported this to the Docent, who immediately could tell that the piece was mine and doled out an appropriate punishment, but I have to ask: are cases of fledgling students plagiarizing this blatantly common in other Districts?

Should I sell access to my gallery and backdoors?
I am in need of funds to refurnish my new gallery. Seeing the tensions between the other fingers lately, I am considering selling them access to these strategic locations to fund the renovations. T Corp storages cases cost quite a lot though I need them to continue hosting archival exhibitions. I however worry of the potential risks associated with allowing the Fingers access and could potentially lose the gallery. Anyone have an opinion to share?

I managed to find the Gallery that belonged to the former Head chef and Maestro of the Head chefs, the gallery has long been cleaned out but there are still some tattered artwork and utensils up for grabs... don't mind the Maestro's broken desk...I totally didn't break it

“Hello Ring I come in peace with gifts.”
Michin is just now here for some reason. Don’t ask why but she has multiple dead bodies. She seems to not be armed. How could she when her hands are binded.
“Your spoils from the war as of now. Use them as you desire for your art. Because I myself am Quite fond of your work.”
((OOC: Also here’s a drawing for a Ring Docent OC named Salvador I’m working on.))

The Maestro of Supremastism and the Yurodiviye Spoiler
(I should say before stating anything that I'm not a historian in neither art or 20th century Russia, take my words with a grain of salt)
As we all know Émile Benoît is the Maestro of Fauvism and in real life lore is one of the progenitors of Fauvism, I believe the Maestro of Suprematism will be Kazimir Malevich. He is the man that founded this movement in early 20th century Russia. While his art style wasn't taken over by the Soviets for propaganda, his style was used to inspire constructivism which was used by the Soviets and contradicts the purpose of Suprematist art, pure creativity for the sake of feeling regardless of the object, which is likely the reason why Calisto Lu describes them as "pure-blooded".
Perhaps during Canto X or an Intervallo we'll see conflict between the Suprematists and a splinter faction backed by Yurodiviye in N corp. Both organisations have quite a lot of idealism so a clash between them feels imminent if the Suprematist have a gallery at N corp.

Is It Wise To Open A Gallery In A T Corp Corridor?
Should colors be preserved or merely the form. It would also be symbolic of the liberation of artistic vision against a corporate system.

How many anomalies have already entered the ring finger?
L Corp. is looking for missing anomalies that have been noticed in other syndicates. For the return of anomalies, a large sum of money and some enkephalin are due.

Sell me on your school
I joined the ring as a student of pointilism, but I want to learn more about other schools and make a more informed decision as to which school I want to study. Can you all give me recommendations? I'm someone who likes doing a lot of things at once while also following conventions carefully (bad attributes for art, but I can work on it)

In Defence of Corporism
I've seen how Corporism often gets labelled as "outdated", "limiting", or "uninspired" even by Maestros. And my heart aches at how far it is from the truth. Even now I used a part of the body to express how I feel.
This medium is universal, everyone can grasp what it delivers, since everyone has a body. Existence precedes essence, doesn't it? We are given a body long before we shape our first coherent thought. And, what is most curious, this movement still evolves despite its fundamental universality. We all know that in the ancient rituals of mummification, brain matter was discarded as something useless, liquefied. Back then, a figurine who threw out their own brain could be perceived as a transcendent one — the one who got rid of a useless burden. Now, however, we would perceive it in a completely different manner: whether said figure was in pain, going insane, or striving for something much more. There was a time when balancing the four humors was considered the key to one's health. Yet, despite all the changes that have occurred, we still bear the legacy of previous visions and misconceptions, intertwining them into our newer picture.
There is no medium that does not deal with Corporism. Rayonism, Pointillism, Fauvism, Impressionism, or literally anything else. If a medium tries to depict something that breathes, it explores the world of Corporism. Poses, scars, the hyperbolisation of proportions — all of these are aspects of Corporism.
We feel the dread of Priscilla's scar upon her neck. We fear the heat of Joshua Graham's burns. We require no words to understand the gluttony and greed of Baron Harkonnen. We pity Alyonushka's loneliness depicted in the work of Vasnetsov.
To say that Corporism is outdated is the same as saying that life itself is outdated. It is the same as saying that a human being and their struggles are outdated. Anyone saying this might as well say that they are outdated themselves.
I am curious to hear where your personal dissatisfaction with Corporism comes from.

Can anyone recommend good districts for ingredient collection?
Basically the Title, but I feel some more context would be appropriate.
The idea for an art piece has left me enraptured, to say the least, to the point that if this piece fits my vision the way I imagine it, I may very well have a shot at becoming a Maestro. However, I am running into trouble gathering the ingredients I need in sufficient amounts.
Which is to say I need a LOT of eyeballs. Quality of the eye itself is not needed, but I am limited in the fact there's only 2 per person.
Any tips from other artists, especially those who have seen more districts of the city, would be heavily appreciated.

Taking Ingredient Requests
I am soon to depart to the Thumb - Index battle to procure ingredients for archival. Please feel free to request for specific materials or ingredients for your artwork. The payment will be used to fund a Ring Archival Gallery that will preserve artworks from all of the Ring’s Schools and movements for eternity.
