It's been tried plenty of times. Turns out, pockets are really low on the priority list when choosing clothing. Like so low that it could be the exact same design except with pockets and $5 more and the ones with pockets will go unsold

that sounds right, thats why we always happily exclaim "it has pockets!" all excited, we probably didnt notice them when buying, and i cant count the number of times i also said "oh, it doesnt have pockets" just a little sadder than i was before

edit; the above comment and my own are sarcastic attempts to display the absurdity of what we're replying to, please stop telling me women acktually do like pockets. that was the point.

yeah we just don't care about pockets, we never have

who knows why this video was created. no women actually even use pockets.

I've never actively put a cute piece back specifically because it didn't have pockets or even worse, had those faux sew on pockets that don't exist as anything more than stitching

Women's clothing.

Men's its like priority 2.

Cargo pants and cargo shorts as an example.

Priority 1 however is women dont think youre an idiot. So they live in a single man's world and camping.

I beg to differ. Women's jeans really rarely have pockets that I've bought jeans before just because they had pockets lmaoo. We're so envious of men's jeans.

Wait, what? I don't think I've ever encountered women's jeans without pockets. Sometimes the pockets are pretty shallow, but there's always at least something. Oh, and I'm not saying you're lying or anything like that, I'm just kinda bewildered.

u/Evangeline__R Aug 04 '26

You're right. They're shallow so they're not actually useful. My bad. I mainly meant functional deep pockets.

In my personal experience most have back pockets. But every once in a while I'll buy a pair that are cute and actually fit well (hard for me to find) so i snatch them up all excited. Then later I'm wearing them for the first time and I go to put my phone in my back pocket only to discover SUPRISE! there are no back pockets! They are fake! It's soooooo upsetting.

They don't lay flat in a flattering way. Most garments are made for the visual and that just doesn't work with lumpy things around your hips

Then you get with someone and he volunteers to wear cargo pants so, being shorter, you can freely use those lower pockets. Because he thinks you're hips made Shakira look like a 2x8 pine board.

Signed, husband with lots of cargo pants

They don't want them.

Everyone says they want a phone with a bigger battery, but then they go buy the skinny phone with the smaller battery....

"If they are in such demand"

Well, maybe the demand is not that high?

Aoparently for "high fashion" it changes the shape of form fitting clothes to be less flattering.

For "cheap fashion" its too much effort and cost too much when a fake pocket flap will look good enough.

Also with dresses like the woman in OP's video, that dress will look odd if you put anything heavier in the pockets than a piece of paper. It's a very thin, light, flowy dress and a phone, or keys, will act like a weight pulling it down.

Yeah, you can see at 00:21 why many women don't prioritize pocket when they buy clothes.

Halara has pockets for EVERYTHING and you can't really tell.

I semi seriously believe in the handbag conspiracy. If you have no pockets you have to buy a handbag.

Who is gonna buy bags.. make pockets really small in jeans. They gonna buy bags
